A method of manufacturing a pack of smoking articles. The method comprises providing a planar blank of an inner support frame comprising a front panel and a rear panel connected by a bottom panel, and folding the front and rear panels together about the bottom panel to form an inner support frame in a receiving configuration. In the receiving configuration, the front and rear panels diverge in a direction away from the bottom panel and define an opening remote from the bottom panel. The method includes inserting a bundle of smoking articles through the opening into the inner support frame and folding the front and rear panels together about the bottom panel from the receiving configuration to an enclosed configuration to enclose the bundle of smoking articles. The method includes wrapping the bundle of smoking articles and inner support frame with a film to form a sealed pack of smoking articles. Also an apparatus for manufacturing a pack of smoking articles according to such a method.

A method of manufacturing a pack of smoking articles. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging one or more articles. The carton includes a tubular structure having a plurality of outer walls defining an interior volume for receiving one or more articles. The carton includes an inner end closure flap hinged to a first one of the plurality of outer walls and an outer end closure flap hinged to a second one of the plurality of outer walls. The outer end closure flap at least partially overlies the inner end closure flap. The carton includes an automatically erecting article retaining structure hingedly connected to the outer end closure flap.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging one or more articles. A locking device for a box includes a first panel defining a locking tab separable from the first panel and comprising a first tab subpanel and a second tab subpanel; the first tab subpanel extending from the first panel and the second tab subpanel extending from the first tab subpanel, the second tab subpanel including a neck and an ear, the ear extending from the neck in a lateral direction of the locking tab; and a second panel defining a locking opening, the locking opening sized to receive and capture the locking tab, the locking tab configured to engage an edge of the locking opening and thereby configured to prevent movement of the locking tab with respect to the locking opening in an opening direction of the locking device.

A locking device for a box includes a first panel defining a locking tab separable from the first panel and comprising a first tab subpanel and a second tab subpanel; the first tab subpanel extending from the first panel and the second tab subpanel extending from the first tab subpanel, the second tab subpanel including a neck and an ear, the ear extending from the neck in a lateral direction of the locking tab; and a second panel defining a locking opening, the locking opening sized to receive and capture the locking tab, the locking tab configured to engage an edge of the locking opening and thereby configured to prevent movement of the locking tab with respect to the locking opening in an opening direction of the locking device.

A self-sealing container is formed from a blank comprising panels and end flaps connected along fold lines with the panels and the end flaps being foldable along the fold lines to form the container. The container includes a securing feature that seals the container in a closed position, with the securing feature providing a visual indication of opening if the container is opened from the closed position. After the container is opened, the securing feature provides a closure feature that allows the container to be closed.

A self-sealing container is formed from a blank comprising panels and end flaps connected along fold lines with the panels and the end flaps being foldable along the fold lines to form the container. The container includes a securing feature that seals the container in a closed position, with the securing feature providing a visual indication of opening if the container is opened from the closed position. After the container is opened, the securing feature provides a closure feature that allows the container to be closed.

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a paper cup comprising: a base; a sidewall; said base and said sidewall together defining a space for receiving liquid or food; an upper end portion of the cup comprising a first and second pair of opposing closure panels, whereby each panel is attached to an upper edge of the sidewall via a respective first folding line and to adjacent panels via respective second folding lines. Said panels are foldable into a closed position to form a lid of the cup. Each panel of said first pair contains two additional folding lines to enable folding inwards. Upon folding to the closed position, a first panel of said second pair is partly inserted below a second panel of said second pair, and the panels of said second pair close the upper end portion.
