Systems and methods for receiving packages delivered by unmanned vehicles

An apparatus for receiving a package delivered by an unmanned aerial vehicle comprises a collapsible package receiver adapted to be movably coupled to a building. The collapsible package receiver is configured to be placed from a collapsed position to a pop-out position to receive the package from the unmanned aerial vehicle. The apparatus has a memory associated with the package receiver which stores computer-readable instructions. A processor is configured to execute the instructions to: (a) determine a characteristic of the package delivered by the unmanned aerial vehicle to the package receiver; and (b) notify a user of the delivery of the package.

The method includes the steps of forming rounded edge seals on the perimeter edges of the blank, pre-sealing portions of the blank to form a plurality of areas in which major and minor flap slots and a glue tab are desired, ultrasonically scoring the blank to form a plurality of flap score lines, and cutting the blank through the plurality of pre-sealed flap slots and glue tab, leaving a sealed edge.

Shipping and display container and method of making the same

A shipping and display container that can be formed from one or more blanks folded and formed according to a method for creating the container such that it encloses the storage space on all sides. A portion of the blank forming the front wall can be formed from two stacked, joined layers including an interior and an exterior blank layer. An interior separation line can be formed in the interior blank layer that creates locking teeth along the line to support the removable window in the front wall during shipping and storage. A plurality of nicks extend across an exterior separation line to also structurally support and retain the removable window while enabling it to be quickly removed to display the goods.

The foldable case is made of a sheet of material. The sheet of material has a central portion, opposing first and second portions, and opposing third and fourth portions. First and second portions adjoin a length of respective top and bottom edges of the central portion. Third and fourth portions adjoin a length of respective left and right edges of central portion. A number of folding lines are provided on the sheet of material. The foldable case can be made by folding along the folding lines and adhering first and second portions to the third and fourth portions so as to form a case in the folded configuration.
