A self-opening container incorporates a child-resistant closure mechanism, which prevents operation of an opening mechanism of the container when the child-resistant (CR) closure mechanism is in a locked configuration. The container includes a container body, lid, and inner casing slidably mounted in an inner cavity of the container body. The opening mechanism is configured to automatically raise the inner casing and open the lid, thereby providing access to container contents. The child-resistant closure mechanism includes a button or bar slidably mounted to the bottom of the container to move between first position and second positions, corresponding to locked and unlocked configurations. The button or bar is coupled to a latch member that abuts against a catch surface of the inner casing when the CR mechanism is in its locked configuration, and does not abut against the catch structure when the CR mechanism is in its unlocked configuration.

COLLAPSIBLE AND REUSABLE FOOD STORAGE CONTAINER

A collapsible and reusable food storage container is formed from a single, foldable sheet having a receptacle portion and a lid portion. The foldable sheet is formed from a plurality of planar panels positioned adjacent to one another, with a foldable seam spanning an offset formed between sets of the adjacent planar panels. In use, the foldable sheet may be repeatedly transitioned between a collapsed configuration in which the foldable sheet is folded about the foldable seam into a flat packet and an assembled configuration in which the foldable sheet is unfolded into a receptacle and an attached lid for securely storing a portion of food. The planar panels may be formed of polypropylene, while the foldable seam may be formed of silicone that is overlaid into the offset between adjacent panels and sonically welded to the edges of the adjacent planar panels. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

Container and Latching System

A container having a base and a lid is provided. The lid may be rotatable about a hinge from a closed configuration to an open configuration and may be secured, via one or more latching assemblies. The latching assembly may comprise a latch body, a locking member, a biasing member, and an activating member. Additional features of the container may include handles and strength increasing features. The base and lid may also feature attachment points for various accessories. A carry strap may attach to the base of the container to allow a user to lift and carry the container. The container may also have a wheels attached to the bottom portion and/or across the bottom portion to one side of the sidewall structure. In addition, in exemplary containers with wheels, a pull handle may be attached to a side opposite the wheels. The lid may include a lid support member that can act as a molle board to releasably secure items to the lid support member while also providing structural support to the lid.

System and apparatus for holding vials

A system for holding a plurality of vials of a fluid that consists of a biological substance for the purpose of maintaining a predetermined temperature of the biological substance over a predetermined period of time. The system includes a two piece carrier in combination with a one piece vial rack supported by the two piece carrier. The one piece vial rack has a plurality of vial passages each for accommodating an elongated vial that contains the biological substance.

Foldable and/or collapsible plastic/composite utility enclosures

A foldable rectangular plastic/composite enclosure having first, second, third and fourth sides connected by hinges. The enclosure folds flat by rotating the sides on the hinges but is constructed to fold only in one direction. The hinges allow the enclosure to be folded flat for storage and transportation. The hinges are composed of a plurality of hinge members wherein each hinge member is positioned in a housing. The housing has an open interior which helps anchor the enclosure in the ground. An insertable locking pin can be inserted through each hinge to prevent the enclosure from folding. The enclosure can be made of plastic/composite imbedded with fibers such as carbon fibers, glass fibers, or ceramic fibers or imbedded with particles such as glass particles. The use of plastic/composite and various openings or cutouts makes the enclosure light weight.

Configurable container assembly
