DENTAL AND MEDICAL TREATMENTS AND PROCEDURES
A method treating a root canal in a tooth by introducing into the pulp chamber of a tooth and pulsing a laser light into the fluid reservoir so as to disintegrate pulp within the root canal without generation of any significant heat in said liquid fluid so as to avoid elevating the temperature of any of the dentin, tooth, or other adjacent tissue more than about 5° C.
DENTAL AND MEDICAL TREATMENTS AND PROCEDURES

CONTROLLED ABLATION WITH LASER ENERGY
Methods and systems for modifying tissue use a pressurized fluid stream carrying coherent light energy. The methods and systems may be used for resecting and debulking soft and hard biological tissues. The coherent light is focused within a stream of fluid to deliver energy to the tissue to be treated.
AUTOMATED DENTAL DRILL
An automated dental drill includes a dental drill housing that includes a mouthpiece housing section and a one or more degrees of freedom drive housing section; an end effector drive support having a shaft section that is at least partially positioned in the mouth piece housing section, and an end effector for the cutting of a native tooth or dental appliance to a desired tolerance. The end effector is positioned on the end effector drive support. The automated dental drill also includes a power source that drives the end effector and is coupled to the end effector and a one or more degrees of freedom drive assembly to direct the end effector along one or more degrees of freedom relative to the mouth piece housing section.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DENTAL CLAMPING
An apparatus and method for automated dental treatment having a tooth clamp (48, 700) which connects an automated dental drill (10). The tooth clamp (700) has a rigid frame (704A, 704B) with a coupling point (703) for reversibly coupling the tooth clamp (700) to an automated dental drill (10) and a pair of jaws (701A, 701B) for coupling the clamp to a tooth of a user. A first jaw surface has a shape adapted to mate the tooth surface and is fabricated based on surface data or a three-dimensional model of the scanned tooth. The tooth clamp (700) has suction ports (702) and the system (900) has irrigation nozzles (903).
LIGHT-BASED DENTAL TREATMENT DEVICE
A light source for emitting light, a light conduit in electromagnetic communication with the light source for communicating light from the light source to the area of interest in three dimensions, and a controller combined to the light source for controlling the intensity of the light emitted to the area of interest.
Laser Emitting Orthodontic Assembly
A laser emitting orthodontic assembly includes a plurality of reamers that is each insertable into a root canal in a tooth. A plurality of files is provided and each of the files is insertable into a root canal in the tooth. Each of the files has a diameter that is greater than the largest diameter of the plurality of reamers thereby facilitating the files to increase the diameter of the root canal. A laser generator is provided that emits laser light outwardly therefrom. A fiber optic cable is attachable to the output of the laser generator to communicate the laser light. The fiber optic cable is insertable into the root canal to communicate the laser light onto an abscess for eliminating the abscess without conventional surgical intervention.
HANDPIECES FOR MEDICAL AND DENTAL DEVICES
A handpiece of a medical or dental device allows a user to hold, support, and/or operate the handpiece by placing a portion of the user's hand, such as one or more fingers (e.g., the forefinger) through an ergonomic aperture in the handpiece.
Tissue ablation and cautery with optical energy carried in fluid stream
Methods and systems for modifying tissue use a pressurized fluid stream carrying coherent light energy. The methods and systems may be used for resecting and debulking soft and hard biological tissues. The coherent light is focused within a stream of fluid to deliver energy to the tissue to be treated.
DENTAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
Embodiments of the invention provide a dental network including a portable dental laser station controllable within a remote access system. The dental laser station can include a dental laser, and a dental handpiece assembly coupled to or including the at least one dental laser. Some embodiments include a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including a dental laser management process to exchange dentistry-related parameters between the dental laser station or components and a remote network. Some embodiments include a handpiece assembly structured so that any beam size on the output window or surface is greater than any beam size exiting at the input window or surface. Some embodiments include a laser power supply combination with at least one high voltage (HV) power supply, a coupled or integrated simmer supply, a direct current (DC) supply, and at least one laser configured with a power supply.
