CAMERA BASED SYSTEM WITH PROCESSING USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR DETECTING ANOMALOUS OCCURRENCES AND IMPROVING PERFORMANCE
A measurement system may comprise an actively illuminated camera system, in some embodiments coupled to a time-of-flight sensor or an array of laser diodes beam split into a plurality of spatially separated lights. The camera system may capture two or three dimensional images, and the light source may comprise semiconductor diodes, such as light emitting diodes. The system includes a processor coupled to non-transitory computer readable medium and configured to use artificial intelligence to make one or more decisions. The processing may also involve artificial intelligence or machine learning techniques to analyze anomalous occurrences, or generative artificial intelligence to interface with a user or improve the performance of camera-based systems. Algorithms may also be used to improve the performance of generative artificial intelligence processing. The camera output may be fused with data from other sensors, and the camera may also capture information about the pose or gestures of a user.
Cleaning system and method for operating the cleaning system
The application relates to a cleaning system configured for cleaning of cavities filled with a liquid, including fragmentation, debridement, material removal, irrigation, disinfection, and decontamination. The cleaning system includes an electromagnetic radiation system and a liquid. A treatment handpiece irradiates the liquid within a cavity with a radiation beam, producing a first vapor bubble using first pulse, and, at a different location, a second vapor bubble using a second pulse. The pulse repetition time is adjusted to ensure efficacy, for example such that an onset time of the second vapor bubble is within the first contraction phase of the first vapor bubble, when the first vapor bubble has contracted from its maximal volume to a size in a range from about 0.7 to about 0.1 of the maximal volume.
Analgesic device and procedure for use
A dental procedure performed on target tissue without anesthetic or anesthesia including preconditioning the target tissue using a laser device constructed to produce light in a wavelength range of 2750 nm to 11500 nm, to provide an energy fluence in a range of 50 J/cm.sup.2 to 100 J/cm.sup.2, and to operate in a free running pulsed mode providing 60 ?m bursts at a frequency of at least 50 Hz. Preconditioning includes selecting a combination of average optical output power and preconditioning time to administer low level laser therapy. The laser device is adjusted to deliver light through the light guide of the laser device at the selected average optical output power. Light delivered through the light guide of the adjusted laser device is directed toward the target tissue for the selected preconditioning time providing analgesia to the target tissue. Oral tissue is removed from the preconditioned target tissue during analgesia.
Patient anxiety management system and method of use
The present disclosure relates to a patient anxiety management system for managing patient anxiety during a dental procedure. In one example, a patient anxiety management system is presented. The patient anxiety management system includes a control module that a patient can use to disactivate a medical device used by a dental professional by way of a trigger mechanism. Upon deactivating the medical device, a recording device, in communication with the control module, plays a recorded message to the patient during a programmable timeframe. Once the patient is calm, the system resets the medical device to an initial operation state by reconnecting but not reactivating the medical device so that the dental professional may resume the procedure when it is safe to proceed.
Reversible dental adhesive
A method of removing a dental adhesive may comprise locating the position of the dental adhesive, directing radiant energy into the dental adhesive causing the dental adhesive to weaken a bond formed with the dental adhesive, and breaking the bond by applying a suitable force to overcome the weakened bond. A dental adhesive may comprise a polymer and a dye or pigment, The dental adhesive may be formulated to cure to form a bond that is weakened in response to the dye or pigment absorbing radiant energy subsequent to curing.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PERIODONTAL SCALING AND DEBRIDEMENT AND GUM TISSUE ABLATION FOR TREATING PERIODONTAL AND PERI-IMPLANT DISEASE
The present disclosure is directed to tools, systems and methods for recontouring/reshaping gum tissue by engaging a consumable tip on a powered tool to abrade/ablate excess or mal-contoured gum tissue to allow better visualization of the tooth/implant structure and reduce the periodontal pockets to provide improved access for cleaning by both the patient and clinician. In some embodiments, the powered tool may use vibrational movement, longitudinal reciprocating movement, rotational movement, reciprocating rotational movement, or a combination of any of the above movement schemes. In some embodiments, a consumable tip may be directed for cleaning tooth/implant surfaces and for recontouring/reshaping gum tissue. The powered tool itself may be constructed to allow the cooling water flow used for operation to be directed to the site where the procedure is carried out for irrigation or to be directed elsewhere at the user's selection to facilitate gum contouring procedures.
Systems and methods for spatial positioning of diagnostic and or treatment probe based on surface profile detection
Systems and methods are disclosed in which a diagnostic probe is configured for performing diagnostic measurements and/or therapeutic interventions and for measuring the local surface profile of a local surface region an object. Various example embodiments are described in which the surface profile of the local surface region, when compared to the surface profile of an extended surface region, is employed to provide guidance for positioning and/or orienting the probe when performing a diagnostic measurement. The surface profile within the local surface region may be employed to generate feedback for repeating a previous diagnostic measurement, such that the repeat measurement is performed at the previous location on the object. In other embodiments, surface profile detection is employed to control the positional and/or orientational probe alignment during an iterative tissue removal method in which successive tissue layers are removed when the presence of a pathology is confirmed via a diagnostic measurement.
ENDODONTIC SYSTEM AND INSTRUMENT FOR IRRIGATION AND DISINFECTION OF A TOOTH ROOT CANAL
A dental instrument for use with a dental handpiece for cleaning and disinfecting of tooth root canals, the instrument including a shaft and connector for releasable attachment to the handpiece, the shaft comprising: a tip end; a distal portion approximate to the connector; and at least two radial protrusions extending along length of the shaft with a longitudinal groove extending therebetween.
DIRECT FABRICATION OF POWER ARMS
Systems, methods, and devices for improved orthodontic treatment of a patient's teeth are provided herein.
DENTAL DRILL TOOL
A system and method for mitigating pain associated with dentistry provides a removal apparatus for removing a portion of a tooth. A desiccation apparatus flows a desiccated gas to the portion of the tooth to desiccate dentinal tubules in a region surrounding the portion of the tooth, generally preventing nerve cells within the tooth from transmitting pain signals associated with the removal. The removal apparatus has a drill head with a body having an axial opening configured to accept a dental burr. An annular passage exists between the dental burr and the body within the axial opening. A chamber in the body is in fluid communication with the axial opening, where a channel is fluidly coupled to an external port and to a source of the desiccated gas to flow the desiccated gas therethrough and expose a drilling region of the dental burr to the desiccated gas to mitigate pain.
