The system includes a digital imaging facility with an image acquiring device and a three-dimensional data digitizer, a modeling facility with an exterior surface design module and an interior surface design module, a fabrication facility operatively with a computer-aided manufacturing module, as well as an application facility including an ablation tool and in-situ preparation module; application facility preferably includes an intra-oral feedbacking appliance with a distance measurement probe for automated feedback-controlled formation of a preparation stub.
ANTI-CONTAMINATION LASER SURGERY DEVICE WITH BUILT-IN OPTICAL ELEMENT
An anti-contamination laser surgery device with a built-in optical element, including an inner cylinder, an outer cylinder, a first unit configured to enable the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder to be telescopic, a lens moving unit, a two-dimensional laser scanning unit, a real-time monitoring unit, and a second unit configured to perform unidirectional laminar flow ventilation. A head end of the inner cylinder and a tail end of the outer cylinder are matched and connected by the first unit. The two-dimensional laser scanning unit and the real-time monitoring unit are arranged at the head end of the outer cylinder, and the lens moving unit is arranged in the inner cylinder and close to the head end of the inner cylinder. The second unit is arranged close to a tail end of the inner cylinder.
DIAMOND DENTAL TEETH FORMED BY USING LASER ENERGY
A dental implant has an implant body made of diamond material, the implant body being provided with a bore hole that has at least one lateral dimension and a depth dimension, the lateral dimension and the depth dimension being mm sized. The bore hole is substantially formed by laser light being directed at the implant body to form said bore hole by softening said diamond material at an intended location of said bore hole. The bore hole is further defined by utilizing at least one metallic drilling tool to remove more of the diamond material after initial formation of the bore hole by said laser light. Preferably, the drilling tool has a cone shaped drilling head or a rectangular drilling head.
PIGMENT FOR ANTIMICROBIAL PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY
A nonstaining photosensitizer includes powdered Nigella sativa seeds in a carrier medium. A method of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy includes administering a photosensitizing composition comprising a Nigella sativa pigment to a treatment site and irradiating the treatment site with a wavelength effective to photoactivate the photosensitizing composition to ablate microorganisms and/or diseased tissue.
Ablation with energy carried in fluid stream
Methods and systems for modifying tissue use a pressurized fluid stream carrying coherent light energy. The methods and systems may be used for resecting and debulking soft and hard biological tissues. The coherent light is focused within a stream of fluid to deliver energy to the tissue to be treated.
Oral irrigator appliance with radiant energy delivery for bactericidal effect
An oral irrigator includes a base having a pump mechanism, a reservoir housed within the base and fluidically connected with the pump mechanism. A handle with a jet tip is connected with an outlet from the pump mechanism to receive a pressurized fluid stream from the reservoir to direct a fluid at a surface inside an oral cavity. The oral irrigator also includes a radiant energy source and delivery system for directing radiant energy at a surface inside an oral cavity.
Laser control GUI system and method
Some embodiments include a dental laser system with a controller coupled to an electromagnetic energy source, where the controller's graphical user interface enables a user to provide input to control operating parameters of the electromagnetic energy source. In some embodiments, the graphical user interface can render a controller enabling user control of a plurality dental laser system parameters with a single action or input. In some embodiments, the user's interaction with a graphical portion of the controller sufficient to control more than one operational parameter of the dental laser system without a requirement for the user to provide an additional or substantially simultaneous interaction with any other controller or portion of the graphical user interface. Further, the graphical content has a graphic indicative of a mode, an operational status, and/or an operational parameter of the dental laser system that is displayed, updated, or animated by the controller.
DENTAL LASER TREATMENT APPARATUS
Provided is a dental laser treatment apparatus that can facilitate sterilization and cleaning work in a treatment with laser beams and also during and after the treatment, which puts less physical and mental burdens on a patient, offers a prospect of quick and reliable therapeutic effects, and allows for faster healing. A dental laser treatment apparatus may include an apparatus body including a laser beam generating device that generates a laser beam; a laser beam application device including an optical fiber that supplies the laser beam generated by the laser beam generating device and a handpiece that includes an application port for the laser beam attached on a distal portion of the optical fiber; and a cleaning solution supply unit that discharges sterilizing/cleaning solution from a sterilizing/cleaning solution supply unit.
DENTAL LASER UNIT WITH COMMUNICATION LINK TO ASSISTANCE CENTER
A medical treatment apparatus includes a power and control (PAC) device. The PAC device provides electrical power through a cable to a laser handpiece assembly to electrically power a laser source within the handpiece assembly. The PAC device controls operation of the handpiece assembly and detects an identification of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device also monitors data relating to operation of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device uploads, through a communication network to a user assistance center remote from the PAC device, the handpiece assembly identification and the monitored data.
