Described herein are embodiments of a yarn-carrying and dispensing apparatus. The embodiments described allow knitters to easily transport, carry and use balls of yarn for knitting and other knitting materials. The embodiments prevent the ball of yarn from rolling away or getting tangled or intertwined. The embodiments also easily and smoothly dispense the yarn, making the knitting more efficient and easier for the knitter. The embodiments provide additional elements to accommodate a knitter: (i) a ruler allowing, for example, to measure a knitting sampler; (ii) a needle gauge and needle openings, allowing, for example, to measure the size of a needle; and (3) an insert allowing, for example, to hold one or more balls of yarn.

For the carrying of beverages, it is known to fill the beverages into containers. Generally, the opening of the container is either suitable for drinking directly from the container or for filling the container with the beverage and cleaning said container. The invention therefore provides a container for receiving a beverage, which container is particularly easy to handle and is able to be effectively cleaned. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that an upper portion of a body of the container has at least a first opening and a second opening, which are respectively to be closed and opened by means of a cap.

The invention relates to a glass panel element (1) with a fastening element (2) for using in a container (6), in particular for using in a showcase. Provided are ceramic compositions and containers, in each case comprising a ceramic (e.g., porcelain, stoneware, porcelain, or ceramic composition having properties of both) composition to which an amount of alumina has been added to provide a ceramic composition comprising 20% to 25% (wt./wt.) alumina, preferably about 22% (wt./wt.) alumina, providing a stronger material, such that wall thicknesses (e.g., of double-walled beverage containers) can be reduced or minimized to create a lighter double-walled ceramic container. The disclosed containers have a chemical and porous structure suitable for a wide array of stoneware glazes, and display water absorption rate properties comparable to stoneware. Methods of making same are provided.

In a pressure-resistant glass sphere used for exploration of deep sea, ocean floor or the like, it is an important issue to reduce weight and increase a floating force while keeping pressure resistance capable of withstanding high water pressure of deep sea or the like and being used repeatedly. A pressure-resistant glass sphere of the present invention is composed of a pair of glass-made hollow hemispherical bodies, wherein the glass-made hollow hemispherical bodies are joined with each other at ground joint surfaces located on an equatorial plane of the pressure-resistant glass sphere so that the ground joint surfaces serve as a joining surface, and characterized in that a thickness of a spherical shell of the glass-made hollow hemispherical bodies is thicker at an equatorial plane portion than the portion other than the equatorial plane portion having a predetermined width from the ground joint surfaces.

A container for storage is provided which includes, as principle components, a base member (1) and a lid (100) therefor, with the lid (100) in use overlaying said base member (1) in a sealing relationship, with both the base member (1) and lid (100) having associated therewith a strip or base (5.104) of a color different to the remainder of the base member (1) and lid (100) respectively, the strip or band (5) of the base member (1) being of the same color as the strip of band (104) of the lid (100), thereby to allow for ready matching of the lid (100) with container base (1).
