Aspects of the disclosure include an attachment for providing a scent to a container. In some aspects, a scent delivery system includes a bottle including a collar and a ledge structure each extending circumferentially outward; a scent ring loaded with a volatile chemical agent to emanate and generate a scent and including an interior protruding structure projecting from an interior wall of the ring, the scent ring configured to fasten around the neck of the bottle based on contact between the interior protruding structure and the ledge structure of the bottle; and a cap reversibly attachable to the bottle and including an interior rim structure that circumferentially projects from the interior of the cap, where the cap is structured to enclose the scent ring in a compartment formed between the collar and the interior rim structure when the cap is securely fastened to the bottle and trap the scent.

A useful application of the subject invention includes a lime flavoring held by a gelatinous artificial lime wedge stored with a beer bottle or can, or attached to a 6-pack or 12-pack carton. The artificial lime wedge may be retrieved from a protective covering and acted upon so it mixes the lime flavoring into the beer when it is inserted into the beer bottle or can. Rather than needing to buy and store a perishable natural lime, and cut it up, an artificial lime wedge may be stored for an extended period of time with a beer vessel and placed in functional contact with the beer at time of consumption.

When the drinking container is configured in the drinking configuration, a section of the liquid receiving cavity is sealed and prevents fluid communication between the liquid receiving cavity and the whistle while allowing the liquid receiving cavity to hold a liquid therein When the drinking container is configured in the whistling configuration, the section of the liquid receiving cavity is unsealed and allows fluid communication between the liquid receiving cavity and the whistle.
