Resin coated metal sheet for container

A resin coated metal sheet for container includes a polyester resin coating layer in which 90 mol % or more of structural units are ethylene terephthalate units. A half-value width of a peak attributable to C═O stretching vibration around 1,730 cm.sup.−1 determined from laser Raman spectroscopic analysis measured by making a plane of polarization of linearly polarized laser light incident on a thickness direction section of the polyester resin coating layer perpendicularly to a thickness direction is 18.5 cm.sup.−1 to 22.0 cm.sup.−1 at a position with a thickness of 1.0 μm from a metal sheet side of the polyester resin coating layer and is greater than 17.0 cm.sup.−1 and 18.5 cm.sup.−1 or less at a position with a thickness of 1.0 μm from a surface side of the polyester resin coating layer.

COATING COMPOSITION AND COATED METAL SUBSTRATE HAVING COATING FORMED OF THE COATING COMPOSITION

A coating composition containing a polyester resin (A) having an acid value of not lower than 5 mgKOH/g, a polyester resin (B) having an acid value of lower than 5 mgKOH/g, and a curing agent having a functional group capable of crosslinking reaction with a carboxyl group. Assuming that the total solid content mass of the polyester resin (A) and the polyester resin (B) is 100 parts by mass, the content of the polyester resin (A) is in a range of more than 50 parts by mass to not more than 97 parts by mass, and the content of the polyester resin (B) is in a range of not less than 3 parts by mass to less than 50 parts by mass. Also disclosed is a coated metal substrate and a drawn-ironed can formed of the coated metal substrate.

ITEM-CONTAINING PILLOW
20220022670 · 2022-01-27 ·

A pillow that contains an item, such as a gift, wherein the pillow can be opened to access the gift. The pillow includes an aesthetic external appearance. This appearance may be provided by a printed covering that is disposed on the outside surface of the pillow. The pillow preferably includes one or more closure mechanisms, such as one or more zippers. Tethers may be provided on the closure mechanism(s), and piping may be included on the covering. The piping not only effectively hides the teeth of the closure mechanism (s), but also improves the look and style of the exterior of the pillow. A flap and tassels may instead be provided on the pillow. Given that the pillow is configured to contain an item, is configured to be opened to remove the item, is configured to be closed once the item has been removed, and has a decorative external appearance and/or brand recognition appearance, the pillow is unique in that it doubles as both packaging and a throw pillow useable after the item has been removed.

ANTISTATIC COATINGS FOR PLASTIC VESSELS

A method of reducing static charge of a plastic container is provided. The method includes providing a PECVD coating of SiCOH, SiO.sub.x or SiOH to an external support surface of the container. The PECVD coating reduces static charge of the container compared to a reference container that is essentially identical to the container except that the reference container is uncoated.

The present invention relates to a top chime for a beverage keg. The top chime is configured to be readily removable from the keg, for example to enable recycling of the top chime separately to the keg. The top chime comprises a mounting portion for mounting the top chime to a keg in use, and a mounting element separate to the top chime that is configured to be assembled together with the top chime after the top chime has been moved into a mounted position with respect to the keg to thereby secure the top chime with respect to the keg. The top chime is provided with a mounting element that is configured to engage the mounting portion to thereby secure the top chime with respect to the keg. The mounting element is configured to be assembled together with the top chime by moving the mounting element in a radially inward direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the top chime.

Process for reusing printed cans

An in-line process for reusing printed cans is disclosed. The process includes positioning a printed can in front of a laser, the printed can having existing-print on an outer surface of the printed can. And, irradiating the outer surface of the printed can with laser radiation to remove 10% to 90% of the existing-print from the printed can and thereby form a lightened-printed can. And further, coating the outer surface of the lightened-printed can with a masking agent to form a blank-reprintable can. Finally, optionally, printing a new print-pattern on the outer surface of the blank-reprintable can to form a newly-printed can.
