BIOMETRICS-ENABLED DENTAL OPERATORY
A system for monitoring anxiety of an individual includes a chair having at least a seat and a back, a base supporting the chair, and a first sensor disposed in at least one of the seat or the back. The first sensor is configured to, without being in direct contact with the individual, continuously obtain data related to a first physical characteristic from the individual seated in the chair. The first physical characteristic is one of respiration or pulse rate. The system further includes a display and a controller. The controller is configured to receive, in real-time, the data related to the first physical characteristic from the first sensor and compile a first metric from the received data. The first metric is configured to visually represent a change in the first physical characteristic. The controller is further configured to output the first metric to the display in real-time.
DENTAL ALIGNMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DENTAL IMPLANT PLACEMENT
A dental alignment guide system for dental implant placement has an anatomical guide, a tooth supported guide and a surgical guide. The system further can have an articulation piece, a prosthetic seat, an analog anatomical model and artificial teeth. The system has a plurality of implants, the implants being abutments, preferably multiunit abutments, a plurality of screws for attaching the anatomical guide to bone, pins to removably attach the various guides and the artificial teeth to the anatomical guide as assemblies during the method of practicing the invention.
GUIDED IMPLANT DRILL SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A guided implant drill system includes a guided implant drill bit with a cutting cylinder having a cutting diameter corresponding to a selected dental implant anchor and a noncutting guide portion having a diameter corresponding to a selected pilot drill bit, and a corresponding guided implant final drill bit having a noncutting guide cylinder portion and a cutting tip extending therefrom, with final drill bit noncutting cylinder portion and cutting tip diameters matching the guided implant drill bit cutting cylinder, and the final drill bit cutting tip depth matching the guided implant drill bit guide portion depth. A method of use for the guided implant drill system is also provided.
Implantation method using a piezoelectric device
A method of placing a dental implant at an implant site in the jaw bone of a patient, said method comprising: (a) without reflecting soft tissue covering the implant site causing a tip of a piezoelectric device to pierce the soft tissue so that the tip comes into direct contact with underlying jaw bone at the implant site; (b) making a starter bore, but not a full-depth osteotomy, at the implant site with the piezoelectric device; and (c) placing the dental implant into the implant site through the starter bore. Alternatively, a tissue punch may be used to create a hole in the soft tissue through which hole access can be gained to the underlying jaw bone for subsequent starter boring with the piezoelectric device.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SHAPING A TOOTH
Disclosed herein is a mountable dental device for shaping a tooth of a subject. The device includes: (i) an anchoring member configured to be removably affixed to a jaw of a subject by securing thereof to one or more teeth of the subject, and (ii) a computerized numerical control (CNC) machine fixedly mounted or mountable on the anchoring member. The CNC machine is configured to have installed thereon and maneuver a dental turbine. When the anchoring member is affixed to the jaw, the device is supported by the subject. The anchoring member is adjustable such as to allow the affixing thereof to jaws of different subjects. The CNC machine is configured to control operation of the dental turbine in at least one dental tooth-shaping procedure on at least one tooth of the subject.

HANDPIECE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DENTAL IMPLANT GUIDED SURGERY
A guided handpiece, system, and method to perform image guided surgery for dental implants. Conventionally an image guided surgery system needs a surgical guide, a handpiece, a set of guided drills and drill adaptors. Extended drills must be specifically designed and made for implant brands and parameters. Adaptors are required to accommodate drills of different diameters. The process is much more complex than freehand surgery while surgical guides are not used. This invention introduces a guided handpiece, corresponding system, and method, which overcome the problems of prior art and make it possible to perform guided surgery with regular drilling tools.
Therapeutic tooth bud ablation
Ablation probe tips (108, 148, 320, 360) and physical and virtual stents (110) for use in tooth bud ablation procedures that result in tooth agenesis as well as tooth bud ablation methods are described herein.
System, device and methods for dental digital impressions
Methods and systems for tracking a dental tool within an oral cavity for taking and/or updating of a dental impression are described. In some embodiments, a marker, optionally a magnetic marker, is coupled to position movements of a rotatable dental tool. In some embodiments, detected movements of the marker are used, optionally in combination with other tracking data, to map contours which a portion of the rotatable dental tool follows during interaction with a dental surface. Optionally, the interaction occurs during grinding, drilling, and/or other procedures; which may be preparatory, for example, to the manufacture and/or fitting of a dental prosthetic.
