Algorithmic construction of a plastic bag
A bag with improved carry handle strength and stand-up ability and method of constructing same using an algorithm that takes into account one or more bag traits resulting in an upper bag portion configuration constructed to carry a predetermined volume of contents within the bag body.
CONVERTIBLE FOOD BAG
The invention provides for sanitary consumption of a meal including a bagged sandwich and makes it easier for consumers to eat while using condiments. Once opened along the perforations, the opened bag creates three separate surfaces, two flat surfaces on each end and a bowl located at its center. The bowl creates a safe location to securely store condiments while consuming the food item.
Grocery transport packaging system
A grocery transport system comprising a storage facility (600) for goods; the storage facility comprising one or several storage rooms having a controlled environment in that the temperature and the relative humidity of the air in the storage room is controlled so that it is kept within certain predetermined ranges; wherein the goods comprises a plurality of different types of goods sorted into different temperature ranges (TI, TIl, TIll, TIV), each type of goods being stored in a corresponding storage room (650.sub.TI, 650.sub.TII, 650.sub.TIII, 650.sub.TIV) having a temperature in accordance with the corresponding goods temperature range (TI, TIl, TIll, TIV); a loading facility for enabling chilled or frozen goods is to be packed into closable and sealable containers (20); said loading facility comprising a plurality of said closable and sealable containers (20) for use in the distribution of said chilled or frozen goods in an air atmosphere environment; a delivery vehicle for transporting said closable and sealable containers (20), when loaded with a predetermined amount of chilled or frozen goods, to a delivery destination.
Synthetic mesh reinforced multilayer material and bags made therefrom
A reinforced multilayer material includes a mesh material covered on at least one side, and possibly both, by a layer of a resinous film material. The mesh material includes filaments that intersect one another, at least some of the filaments being composite filaments having a carrier portion of a relatively high melting point and a bonding portion of a relatively low melting point, the bonding portion of each composite filament being thermally bonded to other filaments at least some points of intersection. The multilayer material has a mass per unit area of less than 9.0 oz/yd.sup.2 and a bursting strength to mass per unit area ratio of at least 9.0 lbs/(oz/yd.sup.2), where bursting strength is measured in accordance with ASTM-D37 86. A bag is provided that is made at least in part from a multilayer material having at least some of the characteristics described above.
A BAG, IN PARTICULAR A SHOPPING BAG, AND A METHOD FOR FORMING SAID BAG
The invention relates to a folded bag and a method for forming a bag from a square or rectangular shaped sheet, which method comprises the steps of dividing the sheet into nine fields arranged such that eight fields surround a central field; folding the sheet along folding-lines between and across the fields in such a way that the central field forms the bottom of the bag and the eight surrounding fields form the sides of the bag and at least one inner wall providing separated compartments in the bag.
Methods of making easy open plastic bags
Methods of making a woven laminated plastic bag having an easy open feature are provided. The easy open feature is generally defined by a weakened portion in the bag, such as formed by cutting, punching, or using a laser to provide a plurality of cuts and/or perforations in the bag. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from a woven polypropylene and/or polyethylene layer, which can be laminated with a film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also be sealed to be sealed to provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.
Bag weld with gusset
The invention discloses a plastic bag comprising: at least one longitudinal end weld, wherein the end weld comprises an elongate transversely-oriented weld bounded by a first pair and a second pair of coterminous oblique welds extending along an oblique angle from the first and second ends of transversely-oriented weld, respectively, such that each pair of oblique welds forms a first and second apex, respectively, adjacent its respective end of the transversely-oriented weld, a first and second planar gusset attached to the bag along or within the first and second pair of oblique welds so as to overlie the first and second apex, respectively.
PLASTIC BAG MAKING APPARATUS AND METHOD
In a plastic bag including a triangular flap which has a folded hypotenuse and an open hypotenuse, a flow path is formed by the folded hypotenuse or the open hypotenuse to discharge air or gas through the flow path.
Washable, waterproof, sealable and reusable soft gusseted volumized storage bags
Disclosed are embodiments of a volume control storage bag and methods of making same. The volume control storage bag may have first and second sidewalls, a double-locking closure mechanism with a first closure element extending along the first sidewall and a second closure element extending along the second sidewall, each closure element having a channel and an elongated member configured for interlocking with one another. A gusset is sealed along three sides of the first and second sidewalls, leaving an opening through the closure mechanism and defining an interior space having a specific volume. Corner seals may be formed at the corners of the first and second sidewalls, further reinforcing the double-locking closure mechanism for an airtight and hence waterproof seal. The volume control storage bag may be made of a food-grade polyethylene vinyl acetate blend, approximately 90% or less ethylene vinyl acetate and approximately 10% or less polyethylene.
Bag for carrying articles
An article carrier bag, in particular of the fastfood takeaway type, the bag comprising a bottom and sides (F12, F13) defining inside walls bounding an inside storage space, and being characterized in that at least one gusset element (E1) in a folded state is fitted to and fastened on at least one inside wall of the sides (F12, F13) in two adjacent fastener zones that are separated by a frangible zone (F15) provided in association with at least one side (F12, F13), so as to be capable of bringing the gusset element (E1) into an unfolded state after breaking the frangible zone (F15).
