SELF-OPENING BAGS WITH ATTACHING FEATURES
A self-opening bag includes front and real walls joined at their respective first and second side and bottom edges. The bag is folded at least once parallel to its side edges. At least one attaching feature is located on the outer surface of the bag adjacent the upper end and between the folded walls. The bag is releasably attached to a subsequent bag. The at least one attaching feature causes the bag to open as the bag is pulled from the subsequent bag. The once folded bag may be sealed at the bottom edges after folding to form a star-sealed bag bottom. The bags may be removably attached to each other at a perforation line and wound onto a compact roll for use with a bag dispenser. The bags may have an upper seam, a U-shaped cut and a pair of bag handles. The bags may be corona treated.
STERILITY COVER FOR MEDICAL DEVICE SURFACE
A disposable bag for maintaining sterility of a medical instrument having a detection mechanism and cable extending from the detection mechanism,
wherein the bag comprises:
a pair of flexible sheets comprised of a polymeric material,
the pair of sheets being arranged in parallel to each other and sealed along opposing lateral sides that extend longitudinally from a top end to a bottom end,
the cable having a selected length such that upon insertion of the detection mechanism through the enclosed interior chamber of the bag, the cable extends longitudinally through the open bottom end,
the bag being adapted to be attached to at least a portion of the cable that extends from the detection mechanism downstream toward the open bottom end.
STACK FORMED OF BAGS
The invention relates to a method for producing at least one stack (9) formed of bags (1), comprising the following steps: feeding tubular or semitubular material in order to form a bottom material layer (s) and a top material layer (3), introducing at least one weld seam (4) in order to connect the bottom material layer (2) and the top material layer (3) in order to form individual, but still connected bags (1), introducing a formatting fold (8) into the layer web, formed of still connected bags (1), separating the bags (1) connected in the formatted layer web into individual bags (1), wherein said bags (1) still have the formatting field (8), forming a packet of individual bags (1) into a stack (9) having a defined number of bags (1), and introducing at least one fold into the stack (9). The invention further relates to a bag (1), a stack (9), and a dispensing box (12).
METHOD FOR FORMING A FOLDED BAG AND BAG FORMED THEREBY
A folded bag comprising a front side, a rear side, and left and right sides connecting the front and rear sides, each side having a top edge and a bottom edge; a plurality of left simple gussets and a plurality of right simple gussets formed in each of the left and right bag sides, respectively, wherein each simple gusset includes first and second outwardly-extending wings formed by respective first and second outwardly-extending folds and separated by an inwardly-extending fold; and a bottom edge seal subsuming all of the bottom edges such that the simple gussets are restrained from unfolding at the bottom edge seal and are unrestrained from unfolding along the top edges of the front, rear, and left and right sides. One or more of the simple gussets may be converted to a compound gusset by additional longitudinal folding, thus reducing further the folded width of the bag.
PACKAGING BAG AND USE OF THE PACKAGING BAG
A packaging bag includes a web having a front wall, a rear wall projecting beyond the front wall on an open top bag edge, stacking openings disposed in the section of the rear wall projecting beyond the front wall, the web being formed at least in part of paper. The front wall and the rear wall have chamfered corners at a bottom bag edge opposite the top bag edge.
Sterility cover for medical device surface
A disposable bag for maintaining sterility of a medical instrument having a detection mechanism and cable extending from the detection mechanism, wherein the bag comprises: a pair of flexible sheets comprised of a polymeric material, the pair of sheets being arranged in parallel to each other and sealed along opposing lateral sides that extend longitudinally from a top end to a bottom end, the cable having a selected length such that upon insertion of the detection mechanism through the enclosed interior chamber of the bag, the cable extends longitudinally through the open bottom end, the bag being adapted to be attached to at least a portion of the cable that extends from the detection mechanism downstream toward the open bottom end.
SHOPPING BAG CLOSING SYSTEM
The instant invention relates to a device for the application of adhesives directly on the structure of bags and shopping bags manufactured in automatic machines for packaging conformation, allowing the application liners or coating adhesive strips during the production process of the shopping bag itself.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HEADERLESS PRODUCE BAGS WITH INCREASED ADHESION
During the manufacturing process the exterior surface of one or both of the sheets of plastic film which form the bags is treated with low temperature corona discharge plasma to raise the level of surface charge magnitude to at least 43 Dyne to increase the adhesion force between the bags. A recess is formed in each of the bags to further increase the adhesion. The increased adhesion causes the mouth of one bag to automatically open as the adjacent bag is removed from the rack. The recess is formed at the same time openings are created in the bags to accept the support rods of a dispensing rack. The bags can have simple edge sides or side gussets and may be provided in a package including a pouch which receives and supports the lower portions of the bags.
METHOD FOR FOLDING BAGS TO PROVIDE GREATER EASE IN OPENING AND IMPROVED PACKAGING
A bag having a front side, a rear side, and left and right sides connecting the front and rear sides. When folded, the bag comprises a first simple gusset in at least one of the left and right sides and at least a second gusset in at least one of said left and right sides, wherein the second gusset is selected from the group consisting of a second simple gusset and a compound gusset formed from the first simple gusset. Preferably, the simple and compound gussets are formed in both left and right sides. The bag may comprise a plurality of simple gussets, compound gussets, and combinations thereof.
