A method of using a bag rack. A method of using the bag rack may include, but is not limited to, the steps of hanging the storage bags on the bag rack, opening the front most storage bag, holding open or propping open the storage bag using a bag hooking mechanism, placing the food item(s) or any other types of item(s) into the storage bag, removing the bag hooking mechanism, if used, closing the storage bag, and removing the filled storage bag from the bag rack. The bag rack may include a bag rack that is formed of a base assembly and a hanger assembly on which multiple storage bags may be hung.

A bag rack and method of using the same is disclosed. During the manufacturing process the exterior surface of one or both of the sheets of plastic film which form the bags is treated with low temperature corona discharge plasma to raise the level of surface charge magnitude to at least 43 Dyne to increase the adhesion force between the bags. A recess is formed in each of the bags to further increase the adhesion. The increased adhesion causes the mouth of one bag to automatically open as the adjacent bag is removed from the rack. The recess is formed at the same time openings are created in the bags to accept the support rods of a dispensing rack. The bags can have simple edge sides or side gussets and may be provided in a package including a pouch which receives and supports the lower portions of the bags.

In addition to the handles characteristic being significantly visually identifiable from the main body characteristic, other identifiable features of the bag such as a displayed Universal Product Code (UPC) are also shown and displayed.

Reusable shopping or produce bags are made from a fabric material. The fabric material may be woven or non-woven. The bags may be used with existing grocery store fixtures. For example, a reusable shopping bag can be designed to hang on existing checkout fixtures designed for conventional plastic shopping bags. Similarly, a roll of produce bags can be dispensed from an existing fixture designed for conventional plastic produce bags. Thus, the bags may be used in grocery stores with little to no reconfiguration of existing check outs and product display areas.

Paper-based packages and methods of making the same are disclosed. In one example, a semi-rigid package comprises: a base, a first side portion, and a second side portion. The base comprises two opposed major walls and two longitudinal side walls opposed to each other. The first side portion and a second side portion are integrally formed with the base. The two side portions are respectively connected to the base along the longitudinal direction, and each side portion comprises two opposed side panels, two tapered corner portions opposed to each other, and a closure in a transverse direction. Each side panel is connected to the adjacent major wall along a transverse line, and the two opposed side panels are jointed to form the closure. At least one of the side portions may be substantially compacted and form a substantially flat transverse side wall.

A hanging bag dispenser includes a bag support platform having a surface that contacts a last bag in a vertically supported bag pack. A mounting device is attached to the platform to engage a mounting aperture that penetrates each bag in the bag pack. A positioning system is attached to the bag support platform and maintains the bag support platform at a sufficient height to allow the bag pack to extend downwardly from the mounting device. A pivotally mounted bag control arm is mounted to the platform and permits installation of the bag pack on the mounting device when pivoted to a loading position and rests upon an outermost bag in the bag pack when pivoted to a control position. A guard plate is mounted adjacent the control arm that prevents access to an upper portion of the bag pack when the control arm is in to the control position.

A protective bag into which a mobile device can be placed to limit exposure of the device to unsanitary conditions or conversely to limit exposure of other surfaces to an unsanitary mobile device. The protective bags are distributed to users using a dispenser. The system improves overall hygiene associated with use of mobile devices.
