METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SEASONING BAG
In a method for manufacturing a seasoning bag, an edible adhesive is applied to a panel of a bag in a pattern of spaced apart lines. A granular seasoning is applied to the panel of the bag such that the granular seasoning adheres to the edible adhesive pattern to produce a seasoning layer having a pattern substantially the same as the edible adhesive pattern.
Sterile sampling bag, roll of bags, and bag dispenser
A bag dispensing device comprises a box and a roll of bags, the bags being connected together in the roll. Each bag defines a closed bottom end and an upper end that is closed while the bag is part of the roll but that becomes open once the bag is detached from the roll. The roll of bags is located in the container with at least one leading bag thereof extending out of the container so as to be grasped by the user and detached from the roll when a bag is needed by the user for receiving therein a sample or the like.
NESTED MULTICOMPARTMENT CONTAINER
A flexible, multicompartment container and a web including a multiplicity of such containers. One of the containers includes a first flexible panel and a second flexible panel. The first and second flexible panels are joined together along a bottom edge joint, a first side edge joint and a second side edge joint. A third flexible panel located between the first and second flexible panels is connected to the first and second flexible panels at least at one of the bottom edge joint, the first side edge joint and second side joint. The first, second and third flexible panels are arranged to form two separate compartments within the container. A fastening system connected to the first flexible panel and the second flexible panel can selectively open and close a top of the container thereby to permit access to the two separate compartments and to block access to the two separate compartments.
Bag roll cassette and method of use
There is disclosed a bag having a tubular body with a top open end and a bottom closed end. The tubular body has a larger open diameter at the top open end. The tubular body narrows into a narrower open diameter adjacent to a bottom closed end. The tubular body in a flattened two-fold condition has a pair of side edges extending from a top edge to a bottom edge. The top edge delimits the top open end. The bottom edge delimits the bottom closed end. The pair of side edges are generally parallel to one another in a first portion adjacent to the top edge.
Web of bags with guide and bags of different materials
A web of bags configured to be guided through a filling station is provided. The web of bags may include a continuous guide of a guide material configured to be guided through the filling station. The guide may be connected with one or more bags of a bag material and with a bag opening. Also provided are methods of filling such bags on a web of bags and use of such web of bags.
ENVELOPES FORMED FROM EXTENSIBLE PAPER
Envelopes include one or more walls defining an envelope pocket configured to hold an item. The envelope also can include a closure seal configured to maintain the envelope pocket in a closed state once the item has been placed therein. At least one of the walls can be formed from an extensible paper having the ability to stretch, within limits, without tearing.
Self-opening bags with attaching features
A self-opening bag includes front and real walls joined at their respective first and second side and bottom edges. The bag is folded at least once parallel to its side edges. At least one attaching feature is located on the outer surface of the bag adjacent the upper end and between the folded walls. The bag is releasably attached to a subsequent bag. The at least one attaching feature causes the bag to open as the bag is pulled from the subsequent bag. The once folded bag may be sealed at the bottom edges after folding to form a star-sealed bag bottom. The bags may be removably attached to each other at a perforation line and wound onto a compact roll for use with a bag dispenser. The bags may have an upper seam, a U-shaped cut and a pair of bag handles. The bags may be corona treated.
Biodegradable containers
Biodegradable bags for disposing of a unwanted substance are formed from a bioplastic material made from a bio based material in the form of a maize flour, and a biodegradable plasticizer selected from the group consisting of vegetable oil, polyesters made from glycerin, glycerin, derivatives of glycerin, and combinations thereof. The maize flour comprises a minor volume percent of the total volume of the bioplastic material. A biodegradable additive is used to provide a degree of stiffness to the material, a preferred additive being polylactic acid. A UV stabilizer may optionally be included. Biodegradable bags have an open end and a closed end with a sidewall extending therebetween. The bag includes a feature for enclosing a substance once placed into the bag. In an example, the feature comprises an opening through a sidewall. Alternatively, the feature may include an adhesive section.
METHOD FOR MAKING TRI-FOLD SIDE SEAMED PLASTIC PRODUCE BAG
A trifold side seamed film produce bag includes a front wall and a back wall, first and second side edges sealed together and a seamless bag bottom. The bag is joined at the side edges to additional bags by a perforation. The bag is corona treated on at least one wall and promotional material is printed on the treated surface. The bags are folded to one third of their height to fit compact bag roll dispensers. The bags are folded in a Z-fold or C-fold configuration. The method includes manufacturing the bags and winding them onto cores or forming the bags into coreless rolls. An apparatus for forming the side seamed bags includes an extruder, a tubing flattener, a perforator, a sealer, a corona treater, a printer and a slitter. The treated, printed bags may be stored on rolls for later slitting into two bag streams and folding into thirds.
