Reinforced bag seam and method for making same
A method for making a film bag with reinforced bag seams includes a film extruder that produces a continuous tube of film. A flattener produces a continuous web of flattened film which has an upper surface and a lower surface. A fold maker has a receiving portion positioned above the web and a displacing portion is positioned below the web that moves cyclically upward to a first position to locate a portion of the web into the receiving portion, thereby forming a fold. A fold retention device prevents the fold from opening. A presser flattens the fold against the web. A sealer seals through the fold, forming a reinforced bag seam. A cutter severs a sealed portion from an unsealed portion of the web. A transport mechanism moves the film from the extruder, through the flattener, into the fold maker, beneath the presser, into the sealer and to the cutter.
Storage assembly with pockets
A storage assembly with pockets allows a person to organize and readily access various items. The assembly includes a flexible panel having a first side, a second side and a perimeter edge extending around and between the first side and the second side. The panel is positionable in an extended position and a folded position. A plurality of pockets is coupled to the first side of the panel. Each of the pockets has a respective first end being open to provide access to an interior of an associated one of the pockets. The pockets are vertically stacked relative to each other when the panel is in the folded position. A plurality of supports is coupled to the panel. Each of the supports is positioned between associated ones of the pockets to provide rigidity between the associated pockets and facilitate retaining the panel in the folded position.
BAG HAVING BOTTOM HANDLE FORMED THROUGH AN AREA OF FOLDED AND HEAT-WELDED LAYERS
A bag including a containment portion having an opening to receive items, a bag seal at an end of the bag opposite the opening, a handle seal at an end of the containment portion opposite the opening, the handle seal located between the bag seal and the opening, and a handle in a handle body formed between the handle seal and the bag seal.
Printing apparatus for printing plastic food bags
A printing apparatus for printing on continuous plastic food bags, each of the continuous plastic food bags containing a printable area integrated in a plastic foil thereof, includes: a plastic food bag holder for holding the continuous plastic food bags; a plastic food bag guiding mechanism for guiding the continuous plastic food bags from the plastic food bag holder in the direction of a plastic food bag printer, the plastic food bag printer including a printhead for direct thermal printing onto the printable area of each of the continuous plastic food bags; a plastic food bag transporting mechanism for pulling the continuous plastic food bags through the plastic food bag guiding mechanism towards the plastic food bag printer; and a plastic food bag ejector for detaching an individual plastic food bag from the continuous plastic food bags.
WEB OF MULTI-COMPARTMENT BAGS
A web of separable bags includes first and second sheet members. First lines of weakness are constructed to promote tearing for separating a bag assembly from the web. Second lines of weakness are constructed to promote tearing of the first and second sheet members into a first bag and a second bag. The first and second bags having openings along opposite longitudinal edges of the bag assembly. The first longitudinal edge margin of at least one of the first and second sheet members is movable into engagement with the other of the first and second sheet members for closing the opening associated with the first bag, and the second longitudinal edge margin of at least one of the first and second sheet members is movable into engagement with the other of the first and second sheet members for closing the opening associated with the second bag.
Airbag film roll retention structure
An airbag film roll retention structure includes a retaining engagement member mountable to an airbag film roll, a mounting section formed on one end of the retaining engagement member, a first alignment section formed on one end of the mounting section, abutting sections formed on an opposite end of the mounting section, and a second alignment section defined between the abutting sections, which are coupled to each other to be positioned on an axle assembly so as to achieve advantages, such as efficient mounting and positioning and ensuring center alignment to prevent eccentric oscillation.
Bag opener component for plastic bag dispenser
A bag opener is presented as an accessory component for bag roll dispensers, which is suitable for multiple-ply bags (such as star sealed bags) that are dispensed from a continuous roll and allows bags to be dispensed to the user in a partially opened state.
Garage storage net
An athletic training net for receiving projectiles. The training net has a storage sleeve affixed to an upper end, wherein the storage sleeve includes a plurality of upper grommets at an upper end and a plurality of lower grommets at a lower end. The training net further includes a plurality of hook and strap fasteners, with each comprising of a strap secured to a structural member of a garage door and a hook for catching the plurality of upper and lower grommets. The training net has a training configuration and a storage configuration. In the training configuration, the hooks are received by the plurality of upper grommets and the net is vertically suspended form the garage door. In the storage configuration, the plurality of upper grommets remains suspended from the hooks, the net is enfolded in the storage sleeve, and the plurality of lower grommets is secured by the hooks.
Plastic bags, rolls of plastic bags, and tubular blown film processes of making the same
A process of manufacturing a roll of plastic bags. The process includes forming a tubular blown film, and collapsing the tubular blown film so that the tubular blown film includes a first side, a second side, a first edge, and a second edge. Openings are cut in the collapsed tubular blown film, and sealing closure mechanisms are inserted through the openings into the collapsed tubular blown film. The sealing closure mechanisms are then fixed to the collapsed tubular blown film.
