New techniques for stowing and rapidly shipping valuables from a variety of retail stores are provided. In some aspects of the invention, a new form of coded shopping bag, configured to covert to a box (a.k.a. a BagBox) for on-location holding and/or shipping is provided. Systems and methods for BagBox conversion, stowing and/or shipping via specialized kiosks are provided. Billing methods based on the coding and recorded user preferences are also provided.

Front and back panels have side seams that fix the panel side edges of the front panel to the panel side edges of the back panel and each extend a full vertical length of the respective panel side edges. A label formed from a separate piece of film covers one of the face panels between the side edges thereof, is disconnected from the one face panel between the panel side seams, has label side edges generally at the respective side panel edges, and secures the label to the one face panel. One or more implementations of a multi-layer film include a first substantially un-pigmented layer non-continuously bonded to a second pigmented layer. The multi-layer film includes an unexpected appearance differing from the appearance of the pigmented layer. In one or more embodiments, the multi-layer film includes a metallic appearance despite the pigmented layer being devoid of metallic pigment. The multi-layer film also includes areas that are visually distinct from areas of the film with the unexpected appearance. The visually-distinct areas comprise areas in which the first substantially un-pigmented layer non-continuously bonded is in intimate contact with the second pigmented layer. The visually-distinct areas have the appearance of the pigmented layer. One or more implementations also include methods of making multi-layer films and bags with an unexpected appearance and visually-distinct areas.

The invention provides such a bag that a person can easily recognize the message text displayed thereon. A plastic bag (1) is a transparent or semi-transparent bag. The plastic bag (1) has warning message text (message) displayed on at least either an outside surface of the bag or an inside surface of the bag. The message text includes normal text (21) and mirror text (22) of the normal text (21).

A foldable multi-purpose container filler includes a sheet of material that may be reversibly convertible between a compact form for storage or packaging and an expanded form to fill a container opening (e.g., bag, drinkware, vase, etc.). The container filler includes fold lines or creases that dictate the compact form and the expanded form and allow for reversible conversion between the forms. In addition, the container filler includes connectors for securing the container filler to a container, as well as a base to support the container filler upright on a surface absent a container.

A woven laminated plastic bag having an easy open feature is provided. The easy open feature is generally defined by a weakened portion in the bag. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from a woven polyethylene layer which can be laminated with a polyethylene film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.
