PACKAGING SYSTEM
Described herein are packaging systems having a receptacle and one or a plurality of expandable members that are configured to move from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration. In some variations the expandable member includes one or a plurality of folded pieces of material (e.g., tissue paper or fabric (e.g., tulle)), which are attached to the receptacle. In the expanded configuration, the expandable member(s) obscure an object (e.g., a gift) placed within the receptacle without closing the receptacle.
INDUSTRIAL BAG WITH A CLOSING AND OPENING SYSTEM COMPRISING A BOTTOM STRIP CAPABLE OF BEING TORN OFF AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A BAG
A bag for containing powdery or granular material having a tubular outer wall made of a flexible material and a closing and opening system arranged at one end of the tubular outer wall, as seen in a longitudinal direction of the bag, the closing and opening system including a pair of opposite angle folds extending longitudinally in line with the wall and folded laterally toward the interior of the bag, a pair of opposite lateral flaps extending longitudinally in line with the wall and folded transversely toward the interior of the bag, overlapping the angle folds in the longitudinal direction, where each lateral flap is attached to the two angle folds that it overlaps, the closing and opening system further including a bottom strip that is removably attached over the angle folds and the lateral flaps in the longitudinal direction, being oriented in the lateral direction so as to close the bag, where the bottom strip can be torn off entirely from the rest of the bag in order to open the bag, and includes a gripping tab which is not attached to the rest of the bag and which is located at one of the lateral ends of the bottom strip, adjacent to one of the angle folds, such that the gripping tab can be gripped and pulled in a direction away from the angle fold, so as to progressively tear off the bottom strip in the lateral direction.
BARRIER DEVICE FOR STORING A WET PAINT APPLICATION DEVICE
A flexible barrier sleeve device and method to temporarily store a wet paint roller between uses, to avoid cleanups between successive applications of paint, or other roller-applied coatings. The flexible barrier sleeve has combined water- and solvent-barrier properties. A twist-tie can provide a closure and sealing means, and a stiffening strip disposed along the outer lip of the sleeve facilitates forming an opening into the sleeve for ease of loading of the wet paint roller. The sleeve material has barrier properties sufficient to keep both water and organic solvents (paint diluents) inside the closed and sealed barrier sleeve. The twist-tie provides a vapor-resistant seal, to minimize the loss of water and organic solvents from inside the sleeve through the sealed opening. The combined barrier properties of the sleeve material and vapor-resistant seal prevent the wet paint from drying on the enclosed roller, and allows the paint roller to be later removed in a condition ready for the next use. The barrier sleeve can be used to store the wet paint roller on or off the roller frame.
ORNAMENTAL LAMINATE FILM, AND POUCH-TYPE CONTAINER AND SEALING MATERIAL HAVING ORNAMENTAL LAMINATE FILM
The present invention relates to an ornamental laminate film made from at least an inside film and an outside film, provided with a letter and/or a pattern by printing and as a raised part protruding toward the outside film. At least apart of the letter and/or the pattern has a metallic luster and differs in at least one of hue, brightness, chroma and glossiness from a region other than the letter and/or the pattern, and the raised part is formed along at least a part of the letter and/or the pattern. As a result of that, an ornamental laminate film with excellent design is provided without impairing its function as a packaging material.
Method for applying advertising media to packaging, method of advertising, and system for applying a communication member on a packaging material
A method of applying a communication member carrying information to a packaging material includes feeding a packaging material in a first direction and applying a communication member to a surface of the packaging material with an adhesive. Both the communication member and the adhesive are simultaneously removable from the packaging material by a user such that substantially no adhesive residue remains on the bag upon communication member removal. A system for applying a communication member on a packaging material that is transported on a packaging material line includes a label applicator and a supply of communication members positioned in communication with the label applicator.
Printing apparatus for printing plastic food bags
A printing apparatus for printing on continuous plastic food bags, each of the continuous plastic food bags containing a printable area integrated in a plastic foil thereof, includes: a plastic food bag holder for holding the continuous plastic food bags; a plastic food bag guiding mechanism for guiding the continuous plastic food bags from the plastic food bag holder in the direction of a plastic food bag printer, the plastic food bag printer including a printhead for direct thermal printing onto the printable area of each of the continuous plastic food bags; a plastic food bag transporting mechanism for pulling the continuous plastic food bags through the plastic food bag guiding mechanism towards the plastic food bag printer; and a plastic food bag ejector for detaching an individual plastic food bag from the continuous plastic food bags.
Storage bag with colored lips
A storage bag has a first closure profile attached to a first side surface, with the first closure profile forming a lip between an interlocking member and an edge of the first closure profile. The bag also includes a second closure profile attached to the second side surface, with the second closure profile forming a lip between an interlocking member and an edge of the second closure profile. The lips of the first and second closure profiles are visually distinct colors or different shades of a color in order to aid the user in locating the lips.
CONTAINER CLOSURE SYSTEM
The invention relates to a pharmaceutical product or container closure system containing an overpouch with an intransparent first foil and a transparent second foil, a transparent primary container for holding a transparent liquid, e.g., a pharmaceutical formulation, wherein the transparent primary container is packed within the overpouch and labeled with at least one label and wherein the at least one label acts as a light absorbing segment having a reflection R.sub.L for light in the range of about 350 nm to about 800 nm and an inner surface of the intransparent first foil of the overpouch acts as a light reflecting background having a reflection R.sub.F for light in the direction of the primary container in the range of about 350 nm to about 800 nm with R.sub.FR.sub.L. By the transparent second foil and the inventive reflection properties it is achieved that the at least one label on the primary container is visible and readable. Additionally, visual inspection of the content of the transparent primary container is possible. A good contrast is achieved to enhance machine and human readability.
WATER-DEGRADABLE BAG
This invention relates to a water-degradable flexible bag for carrying goods purchased from retailers or wholesalers, and/or for packing consumer goods or hygienic products, comprised of at least two parallel walls bonded in their upper section by at least one sealing band in each side edge, a sealing band bonding the lower ends of the parallel walls and an opening at the end, opposite to the sealing band, wherein each of the parallel walls consists of a nonwoven polyvinyl alcohol resin fabric. In a different embodiment, the invention also relates to a water-degradable flexible gurney cover for covering patient care gurneys, wherein said gurney cover consists of a nonwoven polyvinyl alcohol resin fabric.
