Flipsnap hold open mechanism for flexible packaging
One embodiment relates to a hold open mechanism including first and second flat, strip-like members. Each of the first and second flat, strip-like members are comprised of a flexible material and have two opposing ends and an edge including two wide sections, one of each of which is located at the opposing ends of the members; a narrow section having a width less than the two wide sections and extending between and coupling the two wide sections; at least one mounting tab extending along at least a portion of the edge and connected thereto via a first pivot member having an orientation parallel with the length of the members. The first and second flat, strip-like members act as a flip tab providing a surface area for a user to access and manipulate between an upwards and downwards configuration relative to the orientation of the mechanism.
Bag dispenser for facilitating bag opening
In some embodiments, methods and systems are provided that facilitate the opening of a mouth of a plastic bag when removing the plastic bag from a plastic product bag dispenser. The plastic product bag dispenser includes a frame including a spindle configured to hold and permit dispensing of a roll of plastic produce bags, a bag separator coupled to the frame configured to permit separation of a leading plastic produce bag from an adjacent plastic produce bag along the line of weakness, and a bag opening facilitator including a frictional element having a higher coefficient of friction relative to surfaces of the front and rear sidewalls of the plastic produce bag than portions of the bag separator adjacent the bag opening facilitator. The frictional element of the bag opening facilitator is configured to retain in place a portion of the rear sidewall proximate the openable mouth while permitting a portion of the front sidewall proximate the openable mouth to move relative to the retained in place portion of the rear sidewall to open the mouth of the plastic produce bag.
FOOD STORAGE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Described herein is a multi-chambered sandwich bag that keeps food components fresh until they are ready to be consumed. The bag can include an outer sleeve having a first outer layer and a second outer layer, and an inner sleeve having a first inner layer and a second inner layer. The respective side edges of the first and second outer layers can be coupled to one another, sealing the sides of the outer sleeve. The bottom edges of all four layers (the first outer layer, second outer layer, first inner layer, and second inner layer) can be removably coupled to one another. By being removably coupled, the bottom edges can be separated from one another. This allows a user to remove the inner sleeve and join the contents of the inner sleeve with the contents of the outer sleeves.
EASY OPEN DISPOSABLE BAG
A disposable bag; the disposable bag includes a bag-body, a first grip-patch and a second grip-patch. The first grip-patch and the second grip-patch are adhesively attached to opposite external sides of the bag-body. Simultaneous gripping of the first grip-patch and the second grip-patch provides a friction configured to allow for improved separation of the external sides of the bag-body, such that the user is able to quickly access an inner-capacity of the bag for use. In a preferred embodiment, the disposable bag is a pet waste disposal bag. In some embodiments, the disposal bag may be part of a roll of disposable bags.
Storage bag with shape-retaining strips at opening and an expandable bottom end
A storage bag has first and second side surfaces, and a sealable and an unsealable opening. A bottom end of the bag is movable between a flat configuration with the first and second side surfaces positioned adjacent to each other, and an expanded configuration with the first and second side surfaces being spaced from each other. Shape retaining strips are provided adjacent to the opening that can maintain the shape of the opening. The shape retaining strips are capable of maintaining the opening of the bag such that a distance between the first and second side surfaces at the top end of the bag is about equal to the distance between the first and second side surfaces at the bottom end of the bag.
Apparatus for holding a bag open
A flexible, annular band of variable diameter keeps a yard bag open and properly oriented for use in receiving debris and manipulating the bag. The flexible, annular band may be locked to a fixed or variable diameter to fit the opening of common yard bags. By contracting the band, it can be placed inside the opening of the bag, expanded to the bag's diameter, and then locked to hold the bag open to receive yard debris. When the bag is full, the flexible annular band is unlocked and contracted for removal.
Storage bag with features to facilitate sealing and unsealing of the bag
A storage bag includes first and second side surfaces that form an interior of the bag with an opening to the interior. A first closure profile connected to the first side surface and positioned adjacent to the opening of the bag has a top edge and includes an interlocking member that extends between the first and second sides. A second closure profile connected to the second side surface and positioned adjacent to the opening of the bag has a top edge and includes an interlocking member. A lip extends between the interlocking member and the top edges of the first and second closure profiles. The lip is a single, continuous web having certain dimensions from the interlocking member to the top edges of the first and second closure profiles.
Flexible bag with opening sleeve with spout
The pouch (10) comprises a flexible bag (12) having an opening (12A) with its edge fastened to two opposite walls (20A, 20B) of a reinforcing collar (18) projecting out from the bag, the pouch being suitable for adopting a flat configuration in which the collar is folded along a main fold line (17) connecting together its walls so that said walls are situated one against the other, and a utilization configuration in which the walls form a channel holding the opening open. The main fold line (17) presents an end portion (17A) opposite from the opening that projects laterally outwards, such that in the utilization configuration, the collar presents a nose defined by said end portion.
PACKAGE OPENING SUPPORT
A package, such as a bag or stand-up pouch, is described that includes a built-in opening support that can be actuated by the user to maintain the package in an open or wide-open configuration, thereby preventing or reducing the need to manually keep the front and back panels of the package separated as product is accessed. The opening support may be disposed near the opening end of at least one of the front or back panels and may be designed to be moved from an inactive position to an active position. In the inactive position, the opening support is disposed along one of the front panel or the back panel, whereas in the active position, the opening support extends between the front panel and the back panel, across a corresponding longitudinal seam of the package, to maintain the opening of the package in a wide-open position.
