Stand-up plastic storage bag having shift regions and a cuff line
A storage bag includes first and second sidewalls each having a top edge, a top portion, and a bottom portion. The bottom portion of the first sidewall includes at least one shift region about which the bag is capable of shifting. The shift region includes a score line, an indentation, or a crimp formed into the first sidewall. The top portions of the sidewalls include a cuff line about which the bag is capable of shifting. The bag shifts between (i) a flat configuration with the sidewalls positioned adjacent to each other, and (ii) a stand-up configuration with the sidewalls separated from each other. In the stand-up configuration, the bag has a substantially flat base. The bag also can be shifted to a cuffed position with the bag being folded over the cuff line of each of the sidewalls such that the cuff region forms an opening to the bag.
Expandable adapter for a free-standing bag
Disclosed herein are adapters for use with ordinary lawn and leaf bags. In one example, a foldable, expandable, and reusable adapter is provided. The adapter includes a rectangular base unit that is designed to receive four connector pieces. The four connector pieces are made of a rigid material and may include respective vertical and horizontal creases that allow them to be folded. As such, once assembled, the adapter may be folded for storage and later expanded for use. In use, the adapter is inserted into a lawn or leaf bag and provides a larger opening for the bag as well as prevents the mouth of the bag from closing.
SELF-OPENING BAGS WITH ATTACHING FEATURES
A self-opening bag includes front and real walls joined at their respective first and second side and bottom edges. The bag is folded at least once parallel to its side edges. At least one attaching feature is located on the outer surface of the bag adjacent the upper end and between the folded walls. The bag is releasably attached to a subsequent bag. The at least one attaching feature causes the bag to open as the bag is pulled from the subsequent bag. The once folded bag may be sealed at the bottom edges after folding to form a star-sealed bag bottom. The bags may be removably attached to each other at a perforation line and wound onto a compact roll for use with a bag dispenser. The bags may have an upper seam, a U-shaped cut and a pair of bag handles. The bags may be corona treated.
STORAGE BAG WITH FEATURES TO FACILITATE SEALING AND UNSEALING OF THE BAG
A storage bag includes first and second side surfaces that form an interior of the bag with an opening to the interior. A first closure profile connected to the first side surface and positioned adjacent to the opening of the bag has a top edge and includes an interlocking member that extends between the first and second sides. A second closure profile connected to the second side surface and positioned adjacent to the opening of the bag has a top edge and includes an interlocking member. A lip extends between the interlocking member and the top edges of the first and second closure profiles. The lip is a single, continuous web having certain dimensions from the interlocking member to the top edges of the first and second closure profiles.
PACKAGE OPENING SUPPORT
A package, such as a bag or stand-up pouch, is described that includes a built-in opening support that can be actuated by the user to maintain the package in an open or wide-open configuration, thereby preventing or reducing the need to manually keep the front and back panels of the package separated as product is accessed. The opening support may be disposed near the opening end of at least one of the front or back panels and may be designed to be moved from an inactive position to an active position. In the inactive position, the opening support is disposed along one of the front panel or the back panel, whereas in the active position, the opening support extends between the front panel and the back panel, across a corresponding longitudinal seam of the package, to maintain the opening of the package in a wide-open position.
Storage Bag With Visually Distinct Features Providing The Bag With An Asymmetric Appearance
A storage bag is provided with visually distinct features that facilitate opening and closing of the bag. The visually distinct features result in the bag having an asymmetric appearance about one or more imaginary lines along the bag. The visually distinct features and resulting asymmetries provide a visual cue for a user as to how the bag should be grasped when being opened. The visually distinct features, as well as other features of the bag, may also facilitate manufacturing of the bag.
CLOSURE SYSTEM FOR FLEXIBLE BAG
The present disclosure relates to a closure system for a flexible container. The closure system generally includes a flexible member and a substantially rigid member. The flexible and rigid members are each interconnected to opposing portions of an aperture of the container. When the closure system is in a closed state, the flexible member is in a position proximate to the rigid member. The flexible member may be pulled away from the rigid member to move the closure system to an open state. The closure system will remain in the open or closed state without contact from the user. The user may return the closure system to the closed state by applying a predetermined force to the flexible member.
Gusseted pouches
A pouch can include a first wall, a second wall, and a lower gusset that extends from each of the first and second walls. The pouch can further include an upper gusset that extends from at least the first wall. The pouch can further include a seal region at an upper end of the pouch. The seal region can be opened to yield an opening through which the contents of the pouch can be accessed. The opening can be at least partially defined by the upper gusset and/or the upper gusset can define a pocket that can maintain external debris therein as the opening is expanded.
STAND-UP PLASTIC STORAGE BAG
