THERMOPLASTIC BAGS COMPRISING LAMINATES HAVING BONDED PROTRUSIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Thermoplastic bags include laminates with bonded protrusions. More specifically, one or more implementations include a first thermoplastic film with a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the first thermoplastic film and second thermoplastic film bonded to the protrusions (e.g., raised rib-like elements or troughs between the raised rib-like elements) of the first thermoplastic film. By bonding a second thermoplastic film to the protrusions of the first thermoplastic film, the resulting laminate has an increased effective gauge or loft. In one or more implementations the second thermoplastic film is a flat film. In alternative implementations, the second thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the second thermoplastic film and protrusions of the first thermoplastic film are bonded to protrusions of the second thermoplastic film.
Bag with gripping panels
A bag has top and bottom edge margins and opposite side margins. First and second bag panels of the bag define a bag interior and an opening at the top edge margin of the bag. A reclosable closing structure at the top edge margin of the bag can repeatedly close the bag. First and second gripping panels are joined to the top edge margin of the bag at first and second joints, respectively. The gripping panels can provide surfaces for gripping when opening the bag, and the joints can be flexible to allow pivoting of the gripping panels relative to the bag. The gripping panels can be formed integrally with a closure for appending to a bag body.
BAG COMPRISING A CLOSURE DEVICE FIXED TO EXTENSION WEBS
The invention relates to a bag (1) comprising:—two walls (10, 20),—two support webs (12, 22), each comprising at least one complementary section (3), an upper edge (12a, 22a),—two extension webs (14, 24), each comprising an upper part (14a, 24a) fixed to a respective wall (10, 20) of the bag (1) close to the mouth (5), and a lower part (14b, 24b) that is movable with respect to said wall (10, 20), the support webs (12, 22) being fixed to a respective wall (10, 20) by way of a respective extension web (14, 24) away from their upper edge (12a, 22a), such that the traction on the walls (10, 20) of the bag (1) when the complementary sections (3) are in contact causes the support webs (12, 22) to rotate about said complementary sections (3).
Easy Open Resealable Bag Apparatus
An easy open resealable bag apparatus for facilitating the opening of a resealed bag includes a first bag side and a second bag side coupled at the edges to form a bag interior. A press seal closure includes a first track coupled to the first bag side and a second track coupled to the second bag side. The first track is selectively engageable with the second track. A pair of pull tabs is coupled to the bag body. The pair of pull tabs comprises a first pull tab coupled to a first outer face of the first bag side and a second pull tab coupled to a second outer face of the second bag side to more easily separate the press seal closure.
BAG REINFORCEMENT
A reinforcement for a bag or a sack is described. The reinforcement has an elongate body with a thinner mid-section than its ends. The reinforcement also has a locking clip slidingly engaged with the second middle portion. It is configured to slide in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis from a first position, where the locking clip is not aligned with the bag fold line and where the bag and the elongate body are permitted to fold along the bag fold line, to a second position, where the locking clip is substantially aligned with the bag fold line and the body fold line, where the locking clip substantially prevents the bag and the elongate body from folding and substantially maintains the bag in an open position.
Tri-fold side seamed plastic produce bag and method for making same
A trifold side seamed film produce bag includes a front wall and a back wall, first and second side edges sealed together and a seamless bag bottom. The bag is joined at the side edges to additional bags by a perforation. The bag is corona treated on at least one wall and promotional material is printed on the treated surface. The bags are folded to one third of their height to fit compact bag roll dispensers. The bags are folded in a Z-fold or C-fold configuration. The method includes manufacturing the bags and winding them onto cores or forming the bags into coreless rolls. An apparatus for forming the side seamed bags includes an extruder, a tubing flattener, a perforator, a sealer, a corona treater, a printer and a slitter. The treated, printed bags may be stored on rolls for later slitting into two bag streams and folding into thirds.
Bag retrieval assembly and bag for pressed bales
A bag retrieval assembly and bag, which facilitates the covering of a bale of cotton or other fibrous material, are discussed. The bag is configured to be used with the bag retrieval assembly, which is configured to manipulate the bag from a stacked or stored configuration to an open configuration that may be raised and held into a position for further processing.
Heatable package bag
A heatable package bag includes two sheets of outer film, a plurality of projections, a plurality of guiding channels and a plurality of pre-breakage portions, where the two sheets of outer film includes a plurality of inner surfaces, a storage space is formed among the plurality of inner surfaces, adapted to receive an article; the plurality of projections is positioned on the plurality of inner surfaces, adapted to support the surface of the article; the guiding channels are positioned among the projections, the air in the storage space flows along the guiding channels; and the pre-breakage portions are positioned on the guiding channels. The air in the storage space is expanded to compress the two sheets of outer film during heating, and the plurality of pre-breakage portions is broken, allowing the air to flow out of the storage space via the plurality of pre-breakage portions.
BAG DISPENSER FOR FACILITATING BAG OPENING
In some embodiments, methods and systems are provided that facilitate the opening of a mouth of a plastic bag when removing the plastic bag from a plastic product bag dispenser. The plastic product bag dispenser includes a frame including a spindle configured to hold and permit dispensing of a roll of plastic produce bags, a bag separator coupled to the frame configured to permit separation of a leading plastic produce bag from an adjacent plastic produce bag along the line of weakness, and a bag opening facilitator including a frictional element having a higher coefficient of friction relative to surfaces of the front and rear sidewalls of the plastic produce bag than portions of the bag separator adjacent the bag opening facilitator. The frictional element of the bag opening facilitator is configured to retain in place a portion of the rear sidewall proximate the openable mouth while permitting a portion of the front sidewall proximate the openable mouth to move relative to the retained in place portion of the rear sidewall to open the mouth of the plastic produce bag.
SINGLE SERVE FILLABLE CONDIMENT PACKET
A single serve, fillable condiment packet for use by an end user to selectively retain and then dispense a desired substance. The single serve condiment packet includes an elongated packet body that has opposing resealable ends, a permanently sealed top edge, and a permanently sealed bottom edge. In one embodiment, each end of the packet body is defined by a conventional zip lock style closure which is individually operative to be opened by pulling apart the elements of the closure and sealed by pressing together the elements of the closure. The top edge is heat sealed and includes a tear notch adjacent to each end, positioned to allow a user to easily open the packet body at a location adjacent to the respective end.
