Thermoplastic bags with phased deformation patterns

Thermoplastic bags with phased deformation patterns are described. In particular, one or more implementations comprise thermoplastic bags with ring rolling, SELFing, or other deformation patterns phased or aligned relative to the sides of the bags. The phased deformation patterns can allow for reducing or eliminating deformation patterns in areas of the thermoplastic bag in which side seals or other seals are formed. Additionally or alternatively, the phased deformation patterns can provide for zones that provide differing properties (e.g., functional or aesthetic). Such zones can vary aligned along a width of the thermoplastic bag and optionally also vary along a height of the thermoplastic bag. The differing zones can provide the thermoplastic bags with phased deformations that provide leak prevention, liquid containment, and other benefits.

A flexible structure may be configured to expand a collapsible flask. The flexible structure may include a first loop made of an elastically flexible material and a second loop made of an elastically flexible material. The first loop and the second loop may be operatively coupled together at a first intersection and a second intersection. The first loop and the second loop, together, may be elastically movable between a compressed configuration in which the first loop and the second loop are sufficiently narrow to fit through an opening of the collapsible flask, and an expanded configuration in which the first loop and the second loop are not sufficiently narrow to fit through the opening.

A reinforced polybag and methods of manufacturing the same are presented. A method of making a reinforced polybag involves: providing a plurality of walls; providing a hole in a wall of the plurality of walls such that a remaining portion of the wall separates the hole in the wall form a side edge of at least one side edge of the wall; forming the polybag out of the plurality of walls by attaching each wall in the plurality of walls along the at least one side edge of that wall to at least one adjoining wall; providing a synthetic resin fiber mesh cover to cover the hole in the wall; and attaching a peripheral portion of the synthetic resin fiber mesh cover the remaining portion to cover the hole in the wall. Each wall in the plurality of walls is made of a synthetic resin film.
