Incrementally stretched films with enhanced properties and methods for making the same
Methods of enhancing one or more physical properties of a thermoplastic film include incrementally stretching thermoplastic films in the machine direction and/or transverse direction. In one or more implementations, methods of incrementally stretching thermoplastic films include reducing the gauge of the films without reducing the films' machine-direction tear resistance. The methods can involve cold stretching the films and imparting rib patterns into the film. The linear ribs can have alternating thick and thin gauges. Incrementally stretched thermoplastic films can have a machine-direction tear resistance that is approximately equal to or greater than the machine-direction tear resistance of the film prior to stretching.
Easy Open Plastic Bags
A woven laminated plastic bag having features that prevent leakage of contents out of the bag, or infestation of organisms into the contents of the bag is provided. The bag can provide a top end and a bottom end that provide a discrete area that may contain discrete graphics or printing. The bag can also include an easy open feature that can be easily opened with less force than a sealed closure of the bag. The easy open feature may be oriented in various directions with respect to the bag.

Bag
A thermoplastic bag may include a sidewall that may have a plurality of first and second ribs formed therein. The first ribs may be longer in length but shorter in height than the second ribs. The second ribs may be arranged in discrete networks that appear superimposed over the first ribs. The second ribs may normally remain in a bent-over configuration. When a force is applied, the second ribs may expand the area of the sidewall so that the bag may easily accommodate large objects. To produce the bag, a thermoplastic web may be directed between opposing first and second rollers. One of the rollers may include ridges that may have first and second segments of differing heights that correspond to the differing heights of the first and second ribs. The formation of the first ribs may increase the width of the web.

Equipment bag with closure sleeve
An equipment containment and transport assembly (20, 120) includes an open-top equipment-receiving primary bag (22, 122) having upstanding sidewall structure (26, 126) equipped with lifting lug openings (30, 130), and a bottom wall (28, 128). The assembly (20, 120) further has a flexible sleeve (24, 124), which is secured to the sidewall structure (26, 126) and is shiftable between a ready position surrounding the sidewall structure (26, 126) and a deployed position extending upwardly for closure or the assembly (20, 120). When deployed, the sleeve (24, 124) covers the lug openings (30, 130). The assembly (20, 120) is particularly useful for containment and shipping of electrical transformers.
REUSABLE TAMPER-EVIDENT BAG
In variations of embodiments, a tamper-evident bag includes multiple side walls, a closed bottom, and an opening defined by a top edge of the multiple side walls; a handle feature is disposed on two side walls; a pressure-sensitive adhesive strip is disposed proximate to the top edge of a first side wall; and/or a perforation line of uniform height is disposed in the multiple side walls above the handle feature and below the pressure-sensitive adhesive strip. In variations of embodiments, methods for using and manufacturing a reusable tamper-evident bag are also disclosed.
Oil containment bag/container for the transporting and storage of electrical transformers of all types (i.e. all pole, pad mount and underground models etc.)
A leak-tight/water-proof transformer containment bag includes (i) an outer puncture-resistant liquid-barrier fabric bag with a bottom having an oil-absorbent cushioning mat; (ii) a middle tear-resistant liquid-impervious continuous-sheet bag liner secured inside the outer bag; (iii) an inner puncture-resistant liquid-barrier fabric bag secured inside the liner; the bottom of the inner bag having outer and inner cushioning oil-absorbent mats; the outer bag, middle liner and inner bag being secured together at their open ends; (iv) lifting loops secured on opposite sides at the front and back of the outer bag and extending above the top of the outer bag to enable grabbing and lifting the lifting loops from above; (v) reinforcing bands secured around the outer bag and lifting loops; and (vi) a duffel top secured openly over the open top of the bags; the duffel top having a closure for closing the duffel top and closing off the top of the bags.
