The present invention relates to modern plastic shopping bags. The shopping bag comprises two opposing handles, a main body with opposing sides, an open top, and a closed bottom. The shopping bag handles comprises a distinguishing characteristic on all of or a portion of each handle, thereby making each handle significantly visibly distinguishable from the main body of the shopping bag. Additionally proposed is a group of shopping bags for mounting to a dispenser rack, and wherein the handles characteristic of each first bag in line to be removed from the dispenser in succession differs from the handles characteristic of the next bag in line to be removed from the dispenser.
