DISPOSABLE BUCKET LINER AND DEODORIZED BUCKET STORAGE SYSTEM
20200361660 · 2020-11-19 ·

An apparatus and methods of use pertaining to disposable bucket liners for storing solid or liquid content include a flexible bag configured to conform to an interior of a common painting bucket and overlap an open top end of the bucket so as to provide stability for the bag and protection for the bucket. The bag features a reusable closing member that allows the bag to be removed from the bucket and stored to facilitate repeated use before disposal. A deodorizing pet-waste storage system may incorporate the flexible bag or another compostable liner, and includes an oblong receptacle and a deodorizing cover assembly having a press-to-release lid, a carry handle, and an adjustable deodorizing assembly with an odor absorbing filter, thereby enabling indoor storage of pet waste and convenient transport from a storage location to a disposal location for liner removal and disposal. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

HERMETICALLY SEALED FLAT CONTAINERS FOR CONTAINING LOOSE MATERIALS IN LIQUID, PASTY, GRANULAR, OR POWDER FORM
20200361683 · 2020-11-19 ·

The present invention relates to a hermetically sealed flat container for containing loose materials in liquid, pasty, granular or powder form, which is adapted to also assume a stable upright vertical position, while containing said materials, when one edge thereof rests on a base. The container comprises a first flexible sheet element having a polygonal shape which is placed on top of a second flexible sheet element having a polygonal shape, said first and second flexible sheet elements being coupled together by welds formed along the perimeters of their polygonal shapes to thereby define a volume, said perimeter defining a plurality of edges, one of said plurality of edges forming a bearing edge of the container resting on said base; said bearing edge extending from two edges of said plurality of said bearing edges and having a free end which is designed to contact the support base. The container is characterized in that the bearing edge progressively reduces its transverse dimensions toward its free end with a taper angle with respect to a vertical axis, such that, when the bearing edge rests on the base, the component of the weight force of the material contained in the container applied to said bearing edge causes a reaction that has the same intensity as the component directed toward the interior of the container, thereby causing said bearing edge to retract into said volume and imparting stability to the container along the vertical axis.

Package Securing System
20200347645 · 2020-11-05 ·

A package securing system is disclosed suitable for large and small packages and envelopes. Said package securing system comprises a container into which a user would place items to be secured, and a peg or post onto which the user would place the container. Sliding the container past a flange on the peg causes the container to be locked onto the peg. A user may then operate an unlocking mechanism to remove the barrier to removal. The disclosed package securing system is easy to use prompting adoption by delivery persons.

Versatile trash bag

A versatile trash bag has a mouth that is biased open to facilitate putting refuse in the bag and a plurality of handles for hanging the bag from a variety of objects. The trash bag is maintained in a wide-open configuration to facilitate a user's ability to place trash or access the contents therein. The bags also have structure to close and seal the open mouth. The bag has a stiff upper rim to which the pliable pouch portion connects, and which initially lies flat and may be folded to an expanded open mouth configuration. The stiff upper rim and an assembly of nested handles of different shapes may be integrally formed from plastic or stiff paper.

Tape and bag body

A tape bondable to an inner surface of at least one of films forming a bag body is provided. The tape includes: at least one elongated base; a tearing guide piece bonded to the base in a longitudinal direction of the base and capable of tearing the base and the film; and at least one protrusion protruding in a direction of the tearing guide piece from a surface of the base to which the tearing guide piece is bonded. The protrusion is formed on a portion of the base where the tearing guide piece is not bonded.

RECLOSABLE FLAP DEVICE
20200317417 · 2020-10-08 ·

A resealable flap device in the form of a sheet, for applying to or incorporating in packaging, comprises: a base layer 30 of flexible material, and an upper layer 40 of stiff material. The sheet is cut (15) through both layers to outline a flap portion 14, the cut leaving an edge in a hinge region 18, the upper layer being removed behind the line of the hinge region 18. In this way the flexible base layer forms a hinge 18 that is easy to handle and does not spring back, while the stiff upper layer maintains the shape of the flap.

Apparatus and methods for holding a thin flexible material

An apparatus for securely holding a flexible material has a first securing member has a first outer circumference and a first shape, and a second securing member having a second inner circumference and a second shape Wherein the second inner circumference is about the same size, or slightly smaller than, the first member's first outer circumference, such that the second member positioned upon the first member creates static friction between the first outer circumference and the second inner circumference. The apparatus has a backing support that is in physical connection with, or incorporated as part of, either the first member or the second member. A thin flexible material, such as a plastic waste bag, placed between the first member and the second member is secured by positioning the first member and second member together, the positioning and static friction not shearing the flexible material. The static friction between the first outer circumference and the second inner circumference secures and immobilizes the thin flexible material contained within.
