Chopping module having box-shaped body, rollers, shearbar, and rotating blade assembly
A chopping module which pulls plants inside the module and chops them into billets, comprising a box-shaped body with three open sides, a front inlet for plants to be chopped, a rear outlet for chopped plants and a lower outlet for residues. Plants are pulled by two crosswise pairs of rollers, after which plants are chopped by a rotating blade assembly and a fixed shearbar, which are aligned parallel to the pulling rollers. Between the pulling rollers, a passageway is formed for the plants to be chopped. After the fixed shearbar, said passageway continues in the form of a slide sloping downwards to the rear outlet. The rotating blade assembly is located above the slide and next to the fixed shearbar.

DEBRIS REMOVAL SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER WITH IMPROVED DEBRIS FLOW AND RELATED EXTRACTORS
An extractor may include an extractor housing extending from an inlet to an outlet. The housing may define an airflow channel for directing debris through the extractor from the inlet to the outlet, with the housing forming an outer perimeter of the extractor. The extractor may also include at least one flow-generating device configured to generate an airflow directed through the airflow channel that creates a negative pressure at the inlet to draw debris into the housing. In addition, the flow-generating device(s) may be positioned adjacent to the housing along the outer perimeter of the extractor such that a central flow region is defined within the airflow channel at the location of the flow-generating device(s) that extends from a center of the housing radially outwardly towards the outer perimeter of the extractor, with the central flow region defining an unobstructed flow path for the debris through the housing.
Single fastener attachment for chopper knives
A chopper knife assembly for use by an agricultural harvester. The chopper knife assembly includes a mounting lug with a fulcrum, wedge, and counterwedge; and at least one bladed knife attached to the mounting lug between the wedge and counterwedge; the assembly is held in place by an attachment means. The bladed knives are able to pivot on the fulcrum of the mounting lug during use, thereby forcing the knife blades onto the counterwedges to provide a more secure retention means.

Chopping Blade for a Straw Chopper
A chopping blade for a straw chopper comprises a fastening opening, two side faces, and cutting edges arranged on one or both ends of the side faces. At least one of the side faces is equipped with means for reducing the frictional resistance of the chopping blade relative to the air and/or the chopping material.

Plant trimming apparatus and methods
An apparatus for trimming plant material includes a rotatable tumbler through which the plant material is to be axially propagated while rotationally tumbling, and a plurality of cutting reel systems adjacent the tumbler. The plurality of cutting reel systems includes a first cutting reel system adjacent the tumbler, and a second cutting reel system adjacent a landing zone of the rotatable tumbler. The landing zone is an angular range about the axis of the tumbler within which plant material tends to land on the tumbler after tumbling through a central volume of the tumbler.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A CROP RESIDUE
An apparatus and method for processing a crop residue, which includes but is not limited to, destroying weed seeds present in the crop residue. The apparatus (10) comprises an elongate housing (12) having an inlet (20) for receiving crop residue N and an outlet (22) for discharging the crop residue. The apparatus (10) also has one or more rotors (24), (26) located in the elongate housing (12). Each rotor (24), (26) comprises a plurality of radially extending impact members (28a), (28b), (28c), (28d), (28e), (28f) which rotate with the one or more rotors (24), (26) and impact against the crop residue, so that lighter material of the crop residue is subjected to less impacts and denser material of the crop residue is subjected to relatively more impacts.
