Fitment for a flexible container

A fitment (20, 20A) is provided for a flexible, collapsible container (22) with an opening. The fitment (20, 20A) has a body (24, 24A) with an inner end (31) and an outer end (32) and an access passage (30) for communicating with an interior of the container (22). The body (24, 24A) has a height defined between the inner end (31) and outer end (32). The body (24, 24A) has a sealing portion (36, 36A) for being attached to the interior of the container (22). The sealing portion (36) has a major dimension (MD) oriented generally transverse of the height of the body (24, 24A). The fitment (20, 20A) further has a pour lip (46, 46A) that extends from the body outer end (32) and projects laterally relative to the access passage (30). The pour lip (46, 46A) defines a pour path (PP).

Packaged article

A packaged article includes a packing bag which includes a welded portion that hermetically seals a container compartment in which a fluid content is contained. The welded portion includes a weak sealant section configured to be parted when the container compartment is pressed to communicate the container compartment and the exterior of the packing bag. A strong sealant section is configured to maintain a welded state at the time when the weak sealant section is parted. The container compartment includes a primary container section and a secondary container section. The secondary container section includes a narrow neck that is narrower than the primary container section in a width-wise direction, which corresponds to a direction in which the weak sealant section extends. The secondary container section is in communication with the primary container section at the narrow neck. The secondary container section is located adjacent to the weak sealant section.

A laminate and a method for forming the laminate. The formation of the laminate may include attaching an inner polyolefin layer (104) and an outer polyolefin layer (106) to a barrier layer (102), wherein the barrier layer (102) is interposed between the outer and inner polyolefin layers. The formation of the laminate may further include forming a holographic film including a backing layer, a release layer (204), an adhesive layer (206), a holographic grating layer (208), a reflective layer (210), and a protective coating (212). The holographic film may be attached to the outer polyolefin layer (106) using a transfer adhesive (300). Subsequently, the backing layer may be removed from the release layer (204), then the release layer (204) may be primed, for example, by forming a primer overcoat layer on the release layer (204). A patterned layer (700), for example, text and/or graphics, may be formed on the primer layer (600), then a varnish layer (702) may be formed on the patterned layer (700).
