A discharging device for liquids. The invention relates to a discharging device for liquids, more particularly for pharmaceutical liquids, comprising a delivery device (10), a liquid storage receptical (20) communicating with an input (10a) of the delivery device for storage of the liquid (30), and a discharge orifice (12) which communicates with an outlet (10b) of said delivery device, and the liquid storage receptical (20) is at least in part in the form of a dimensionally flexible liquid-containing bag (20) and the liquid storage receptical (20) is disposed in a buffer chamber of constant volume (42). To prevent air from escaping from the buffer chamber (42), provision is made for the buffer chamber to be sealed by a protective housing from the environment (1) in a gas-tight manner, for the buffer chamber to communicate with the environment through at least one capillary passageway for the purpose of pressure compensation, or for the buffer chamber (42) to communicate with the environment (1) via a balancing passageway for the purpose of pressure compensation, while a valve (70) which opens in dependence on the pressure differential is disposed in this balancing passageway.

A material dispensing assembly (100) and method of operation for converting a portable cartridge dispensing tool to a bag-type dispensing tool is provided in which the assembly includes a single piece piston (110) for advancing material though a material housing (104). The single piece piston (110) includes a substantially square-shaped receptacle (140). The assembly further includes a square shaped drive rack (112) for attaching to the piston (110) at the substantially square-shaped receptacle (140) at a connection end (128). The drive rack (112) further includes a plurality of teeth (142) located thereon. The assembly (100) further has a support (127) with a substantially square profile for receiving and supporting the drive rack (112) during operation such that the construct of the drive rack and piston (110) are prevented from rotating during operation.

A disposable flexible container for a fluent product comprises a product volume for the fluent product at least partially defined by a nonstructural panel having one or more flat spaces and one or more structural support volumes. The disposable flexible container also includes one or more surface elements generally projecting outwardly in relation to the one or more flat spaces on the nonstructural panel. Preferably, the one or more structural support volumes comprise a structural support frame configured to prevent the container from collapsing and, more preferably, they are arranged to generate and maintain tension in the nonstructural panel when they are expanded.
