Negative Poisson's ratio materials for fasteners
A zipper includes two rows of zipper teeth, in which at least one of the zipper teeth includes a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) foam material having a Poisson's ratio of between 0 and −1, and a slider movably attached to one of the rows of the zipper teeth and configured to connect the two rows of zipper teeth when the slider is moved in a first direction and to disconnect the two rows of zipper teeth when the slider is moved in an opposite direction.
WINE BOTTLE WITH CORK RETAINER AND RE-USE FEATURES
A wine bottle is provided with a punt at a lower end which includes a cork retainer therein. A cork can thus be stored within the cork retainer. In one embodiment, the cork retainer includes two retainer surfaces which are opposing each other horizontally, and spaced apart by a length similar to opposing portions of the cork to allow the cork to fit tightly between these retainer surfaces. Space above the retainer surfaces can hold a foil wrap with the cork within the cork retainer and holding the foil wrap in place. Full re-use of the bottle is thus facilitated. In one embodiment, the bottle has an octagonal shape so that multiple bottles can be shipped together and placed adjacent each other with flat surfaces distributing loads therebetween, without forces concentrated at points thereof, and to keep the bottles in good shape for washing, re-filling and re-use.
CONTAINER SEALING PLUG AND CONTAINER HAVING SAME
The present disclosure provides a container sealing plug, which includes a plug body and a first flexible member connected. The plug body configured to seal a receiving opening of a container body. The first flexible member connected to the plug body and having a first sleeving opening formed thereon, the first sleeving opening being configured to connect to the container body. A user can place food, liquid or other objects into the container body through the receiving opening of the container body, and then seal the receiving opening of the container body with the plug body, whereby air or water is effectively prevented from entering or leaking out the container body through the receiving opening of the container body and thus the long-term storage and freshness preservation of the content is guaranteed.
All-glass travel mug
A beverage container for hot or cold beverages, where the lid and base are connected via a glass joint. The glass joint forms a seal between the lid and base and eliminates the need for a synthetic material to form such a seal. The base has a double wall construction forming a cavity between the two walls. One or more of the surfaces facing the cavity are coated with a thermally reflective coating, which along with the glass materials, reduces heat transfer to the external surroundings. The lid is formed by a glass shell with an internal cavity, where the internal surfaces defining the cavity are optionally coated with a thermally reflective coating to further insulate the beverage container.
Bottles for packaging liquids for retail
A bottle for packaging a beverage for retail includes a floor and at least one wall extending upwardly from the floor. The floor and the at least one wall collectively define part of a watertight cavity. A primary spout extends from the at least one wall and has a distal opening spaced apart from the at least one wall. Secondary and tertiary openings are located along the at least one wall or the primary spout and are in communication with the watertight cavity. The secondary opening has an internal perimeter smaller than an internal perimeter of the primary spout distal opening. Primary, secondary, and tertiary closures are configured to removably seal the primary spout distal opening, the secondary opening, and the tertiary opening. A tube has a flared receptacle end and a submersible end configured to pass through the secondary opening for adding content to the watertight cavity.
Bottle
A bottle having functional elements is disclosed. The bottle includes a neck, which includes a rim with an opening to a void, a handle, which includes cylindrical aperture(s), a handle base, and an outer rim opposite the handle base. The base may be contiguous with the bottle's neck and handle's outer rim may have an undulating contour. The cylindrical aperture(s) may be located between the base and the handle's outer rim. The bottle may also include a shoulder, a body, and a stopper, where the stopper is configured to fit within the bottle rim's opening. The neck, shoulder and body all together contiguously enclose the void.
REUSABLE DRINKING CUP LID STOPPER AND METHOD
A reusable stopper for removably engaging a sipping aperture in a removable drinking cup lid and a method for same, the reusable stopper comprising a stopper body having two body ends, a grasping body end that forms a handle and plug body end that forms a tab projection; the stopper body further forms at least double open-ended aperture; wherein the handle is configured to allow an operator to securely grasp and manipulate the reusable stopper; wherein the tab projection is configured to removably seal the sipping aperture; wherein the at least one double open-ended aperture is configured to removable engage a stopper retaining device.

The neck, shoulder and body all together contiguously enclose the void.
Safeguarding device designed to secure a container
The bottle has a neck sealed by a stopper. The safeguarding device (2) comprises a first and a second part (20, 21), the first part (20) being adapted to be integrated in the stopper (1) and the two parts (20, 21) being joined in translation while allowing a limited relative movement of one part with respect to the other when a traction force is applied to the safeguarding device (2) in order to remove said stopper (1) from the neck. According to the invention, the safeguarding device comprises an electrical component (212) disposed so that at least one electrical characteristic of said component is modified during the relative movement of the two parts (20, 21).
