Threadless Cap for a Bottle
20190315530 · 2019-10-17 ·

The invention described herein relates to a threadless cap for a threadless bottle, the threadless cap comprising a threadless outer cap and a threadless inner cap, wherein the threadless inner cap is received in the threadless outer cap so as to define an annulus between them. When assembled, a bottle is received in the annulus with a portion of the threadless inner cap creating a plug that seals the bottle and a portion of the threadless outer cap over hanging the bottle. Both the outer cap and the inner sealingly engage the bottle using a threadless friction fit. To remove the cap from the bottle, one simply slides the cap off the bottle.

A tamper evident closure comprises a cap having a plug, a skirt and a locking member. The cap and the skirt have seats in which a first portion and a second portion of the locking member are arranged. Upon first opening, as the cap moves longitudinally away from the skirt, the lower edge of the cap passes over the first portion longitudinally so that, upon reclosing the closure, the first portion positions in an obstructive manner between the lower edge of the cap and the upper edge of the skirt.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DE-OXYGENATION OF A CLOSED CONTAINER
20190270560 · 2019-09-05 ·

Systems and methods for preserving oxidizable substances such as liquids or foodstuffs are disclosed. These systems incorporate a sealing device and an oxygen scavenging chemical or agent coupleable to or contained within the system. The oxygen scavenging agent can remove the oxygen from the headspace of a container such as a bottle of wine without reducing the pressure in the headspace to the extent that the flavor of the wine is adversely affected.

Self-extracting cap

The invention relates to a self-extracting stopper which can be accommodated inside the neck of the bottle, and which does not require a corkscrew or any other tool for the extraction thereof, formed by an assembly of parts preferably made of a plastic material and which, once assembled, permit a bottle or container to be stoppered. The face of the drum (8) and the surface of revolution of the flexible cylinder (4) can also carry marks that are engraved or in shallow relief. In this way, the assembly of the self-extracting stopper is formed by six elements and a cork cover (1), a nut (2), a flexible cylinder (5), a drum (8), a screw (12) and a wing nut (15), all of which are disposed and assembled according to their axial geometry, and which permit a method and process to be provided whereby bottles and/or containers can be stoppered or opened manually or automatically, and said self-extracting stopper being reusable.
