A security device for mounting over the neck of a bottle having an exterior lip has outer cap structure including an annular housing portion (16) for location about the neck of a bottle and an end cap portion (18) at one end of the annular housing portion. A claw member (14) is slidably mounted to the outer cap structure for movement in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the annular housing portion between operative and inoperative positions. A latch mechanism (60) releasably secures the claw member in the operative position. The claw member has a plurality of resiliently deformable elongate claws (52a, 52b) for engagement with the neck of a bottle to which the device is mounted when the claw member is in the operative position. The claw member comprises at least two sets of claws (52a, 52b) of different lengths. The latch mechanism (60) may be a magnetically-releasable latch enabling the device to be removed using a magnetic key. The device may incorporate a RF or RFID tag.

TAMPER-INDICATING DEVICE HAVING ROBOTIC APPLICATION FEATURES

A tamper-indicating assembly for a drum enclosure assembly is provided. The tamper-indicating assembly includes a tamper-indicating device that defines a cavity sized to receive and surround at least a portion of the closure bolt, the first flanged end, and the second flanged end to prevent movement of the closure bolt. A tab extends radially outward from the tamper-indicating device with respect to an axial centerline of the tamper-indicating assembly. The tamper-indicating assembly further includes a pin non-removably coupled to the tamper-indicating device. The pin extends through the tamper-indicating device and across the cavity such that the tamper-indicating device and the pin collectively surround the closure bolt. The exemplary tamper-indicating device described herein includes features that facilitate the robotic application of the tamper-indicating device to a drum enclosure.

The rod member adjusts to permit the clamp assembly and arm to rotate such that the bumper releases the ring from the arm and clamp assembly upon contact, thereby enabling the container's lid to open.

In some variations a safety system of the kind of a seal that links the upper wall (23) of the external structure (2) with the internal structure (1) is incorporated. The detachable sector (70) acts as a safety seal and, even after the detachment, the link member (76) maintains it as cover of the upper part of the lock. The bottle (200) has an annular entrance (204) compatible with the grip position of the safety lock.
