BEVERAGE INGREDIENT CARTRIDGE

A beverage ingredient cartridge for releasing beverage ingredients into a bottle to create a mixed beverage includes a body defining a liquid-ingredient chamber, a cap defining a solid-ingredient chamber, and an opening mechanism disposed on the cap. Upon a force applied to the beverage ingredient cartridge, a piercer of the bottle drives through the dispensing end of the cartridge, causing teeth of the opening mechanism to tear through films sealing the liquid-ingredient chamber and solid-ingredient chamber. This mixes contents of the liquid-ingredient chamber with contents of the solid-ingredient chamber and releases the mixed contents from the beverage ingredient cartridge into a bottle below that is filled with a liquid, creating a mixed beverage.

A cap for closing a neck of a bottle is disclosed. The cap includes a lid for closing off the neck and a skirt for fixing to the neck. The skirt is provided with a bulge line for interfering by wedging with the neck, a weakened line to be ruptured by propagation of a tear, and a stop means for preventing the tearing propagating in the rectilinear extension of a first part of the weakened line that runs along the bulge line while being situated on the side of the latter opposite to the lid. The weakened line also includes second and third substantially rectilinear parts which, on the periphery of a skirt, follow on respectively from the first part to the second part of the weakened line. The second part of the weakened line avoids the stop means and extends on either side of the bulge line, while being inclined both with respect to the bulge line and with respect to the direction of the axis of the skirt. The third part of the weakened line extends along the bulge line while being situated on the side of the bulge line turned towards the lid.

PLASTIC CAP AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

A plastic cap, which is a highly producible one-piece type cap when molded, but becomes a two-piece type cap excellent in sealability and openability when used, and enables a small-diameter pouring opening to be formed, is provided. The plastic cap comprises: a cap body which is composed of a top plate section and a skirt section, has a pouring nozzle formed on an outer surface of the top plate section so as to surround an opening-scheduled portion, and is fitted and fixed to a container mouth; and a top lid composed of a top face, and a circumferential wall suspending from an outer peripheral edge of the top face. The top lid has, formed therein, a protrusion protruding downward from an inner surface of the top face and having an engaging portion on an outer surface thereof. The cap body has an inner plug formed therein. The inner plug is composed of an annular sidewall having an outer diameter enabling the annular sidewall to intimately contact an inner surface of the pouring nozzle; and a bottom formed at a lower part of the annular sidewall. The inner plug is formed integrally with the cap body via a breakable weakened portion at a position below a seal portion of the pouring nozzle having an inner diameter enabling the seal portion to intimately contact the inner plug. On an inner surface of the annular sidewall, an engaged portion vertically engageable with the engaging portion of the protrusion is formed.
