DEVICE FOR PROTECTING AND SEALING THE OPENING OF A CONTAINER
Embodiments of a device for protecting and sealing the opening of a container. This device is a one-piece made plug for a flask or container, comprising at least one passing channel, and at least one structural flow regulator barrier, allowing the passing of solid elements. The structural regulator barrier comprises at least a gate to regulate the passing and connection between the inside space and the outside space of the container in a unidirectional and/or bidirectional way. An embodiment includes a method and a mold for manufacturing such a device.
Removable cap with seal designed to be opened by piercing in a diagnostic analyzer
Embodiments are directed to a removable cap with a conduction seal closure for sealing an opening of a container. The cap has a side wall and a top wall with an open access hole there-through. A flat upper portion surrounds the open access hole, which is sealed by the conduction seal. The conduction seal comprises a first polymer sealing layer, an aluminum foil layer on top of the first layer to heat seal the first layer to the cap, and a second polymer layer arranged on top of the aluminum foil layer for protection. The aluminum foil provides a formable shaping strength such that upon seal piercing, a permanent memory spread of the first and third layers is achieved. Removal of the cap does not damage the seal. Access to the container contents is achieved without probe contact to the as-pierced seal.
Primary packaging containers for pharmaceutical substances and methods of making
A primary packaging container for pharmaceuticals is provided. The container includes a hollow body, an opening, and a closure. The hollow body has an opening and is made of a cycloolefin polymer or a cycloolefin copolymer. The closure has a puncture region. The closure closes the opening with the puncturing region at the opening. The puncturing region is configured to allow introduction of a cannula into the hollow body and resealing the hollow body upon withdraw of the cannula. The closure has an elastomer that is connected to the hollow body so as to be not separable in a non-destructive manner.
PLASTIC CLOSURE PART WITH SEVERABLE MEMBRANE
The invention concerns a plastic closure part (10) which can be fixed to a container or a further closure part to be fixed to the container, comprising a tubular discharge portion (3) whose cross-section is closed by a membrane (7) which has a tear line (8) extending peripherally over more than 180 along its outer edge and a corresponding method for the production of such a closure. In order to develop a closure part having the features set forth in the opening part of this specification and a method for the production thereof to the effect that the problems occurring upon injection moulding due to narrow flow passages are eliminated it is provided according to the invention that the tear line (8) is formed by a cut introduced into the material of the membrane (7) with a cutting or punching tool.
Self-resealing venting elastomeric closure for use with oral syringes, pipettes and the like
A self-venting self-resealing pre-cut elastomeric closure for vials, bottles and the like, comprising a dished elastomeric septum supported for closing an opening in a container, a cut across the dished elastomeric septum, and additional cuts defining with the cross cut one or more flap areas elastically displaceable from a closed condition to a venting condition in response to insertion of a liquid transfer implement through the central area of the septum dish.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLED CONTAINER HEADSPACE ADJUSTMENT
In some embodiments, a sealing and pressure dosing apparatus may be provided. The sealing and pressure dosing apparatus may include a sealing machine having one or more of a driven turret, a sealing head, a pressure sealing member, and a pressure sealing chamber. The sealing and pressure dosing apparatus may also include a pressure dosing system which may be integrated with the sealing machine.
Securable sampling port for an insulated container
Apparatus and installation methods for sampling ports are disclosed. Sampling ports include a port housing and a lid assembly. The lid assembly is configured to sealably close against the port housing. Additionally, the lid assembly can be secured, such as with a lock, to the port housing. In one aspect, the port housing includes a sample mount arrangement configured to receive a sampling assembly. The sample mount arrangement defines a sampling channel and the port housing defines a sampling opening and a first securing mount. The lid assembly includes a latch arrangement and defines a second securing mount.
RECEPTACLE FOR MINIMIZING EVAPORATION OF A FLUID
A receptacle for minimizing evaporation of a fluid includes a single-piece body, a fluid-tight seal, a penetrable septum, and a lid. The body includes a chamber having an opening. The fluid-tight seal is affixed to a surface of the body that defines the first opening. The fluid-tight seal covers the opening and is frangible. The septum covers the opening and the fluid-tight seal. The septum includes at least one slit forming slats. The lid has an opening axially aligned with the opening and is coupled to the body such that at least a portion of the septum is disposed between the lid and the fluid-tight seal.
Bag containing a reference fluid
A sealed bag containing a reference fluid for the calibration and/or quality control of a creatine and/or creatinine sensor, the bag comprising: an inner polymer layer and an outer polymer layer; and an aluminium oxide gas barrier layer there between; and wherein the inner polymer layer is in contact with the reference fluid.
FLUID CONTAINER
A container including a top wall and a fluid vessel depending from the top wall. The fluid vessel extends from a top wall aperture formed in the top wall to a bottom end of the fluid vessel. The container further includes gripping structures configured to enable an automated gripping mechanism to securely grip the container in a repeatable position and orientation with respect to the container-gripping components of the gripping mechanism.
