CLOSURE SYSTEM AND KIT

A closure system for closing a container opening is disclosed that includes a stopper member, a cage member for mounting to a container, a cover member reversibly mountable to the cage member, and an integrity visualization member. The stopper member has a plug portion to fit into the container opening and a cover portion to abut a boundary surface of the container opening. The plug portion of the stopper member is fitted into the opening of the container and the cage member is mounted to the container. The cage member applies a force to the cover portion to push the cover portion onto the boundary surface of the container opening. The cover member covers an aperture of the cage member when mounted to the cage member. The integrity visualization member indicates an integrity of the closure system and is positioned between the cover portion and the cage member.

The stopper member (31) is made of an elastic material and has a plug portion (311) configured to fit into the opening (25) of the container (2) and a cover portion (312) configured to abut a boundary surface (24) adjacent to the opening (25) of the container (2). The cage member (32) is made of a shape-retentive material. The closure system (3) is configured to be in an assembled state in which the plug portion (311) of the stopper member (31) is fitted into the opening (25) of the container (2), the cover portion (312) of the stopper member (31) abuts the boundary surface (24) of the container (2) and the cage member (32) is mounted to the container (2). The cage member (32) has a locking structure (322), wherein the locking structure (322) of the cage member (32) is configured, in the assembled state of the closure system (3), to be in a detached position in which the locking structure (322) of the cage member (32) is disengaged from the container (2), and in a fixed position in which the locking structure (322) engages a corresponding structure of the container (2). The lock activation formation (341, 342) is configured to interact with the cage member (32) such that the cage member (32) changes from the detached position to the fixed position.

CLOSURE SYSTEM AND KIT

A closure system is disclosed for closing a container opening. The closure system includes a stopper member, a cage member for mounting to the container, and a spring member. The stopper member has a plug portion that tightly fits into the container opening and a cover portion that abuts a boundary surface adjacent to the container opening container. The stopper member plug portion is fitted into the container opening, the stopper member cover portion abuts the boundary surface of the container, and the cage member is mounted to the container to hold the stopper member, when the closure system is in an assembled state. The cage and spring members are arranged to position the spring member between the stopper member cover portion and the cage member such that the spring member pushes the cage member away from the cover portion when the closure system is in the assembled state.

The stopper is equipped with a stopper main body having a guiding path extending in an axial direction. A stopper member has a flow path extending in the axial direction and is inserted in the guiding path of the stopper main body. A sealing member inserts into the flow path of the stopper member in such a manner as to block the flow path. The stopper member is equipped with, at a position where the sealing member is inserted, a first peripheral wall section fixed in a manner as to extend in the axial direction and a second peripheral wall section separated from the first peripheral wall section in a circumferential direction and extending radially outward along the axial direction.

SEALING CAP FOR A CONTAINER FOR HOLDING A MEDICAL LIQUID

A sealing cap for a container for holding a medical liquid comprises a cap body and a connection device having a sealing element arranged on the cap body. The sealing element is arranged at the opening and is retained in the cap body in a clamped manner by a, preferably annular, flanged rim. The connection device has a break-off piece, which is firmly connected to the cap body and covers an outer face of the sealing element in the outward direction. The break-off piece is integral with the cap body, is connected to the cap body by a predetermined breaking point where the break-off piece can be detached from the cap body. The sealing element outer face is substantially flat and is accessible for wiping to provide a sealing cap having a sealing element arranged that can be simply and reliably disinfected.

FLUID RECEIVER FITTING FOR ASEPTIC FLUID TRANSFER AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME

A fluid receiver fitting (FRF) for supporting aseptic fluid transfer between enclosures, as well as methods for forming the fluid receiver, is disclosed. The FRF includes a unitized seal section (226) and channel section (228) formed together by 2-shot injection molding, thereby eliminating or minimizing modes of fluid contamination where the seal section and channel section are separate members. The channel section may comprise one or more channels (286) for insertion of a needle (N) therein and a respective penetration zone (266) in a corresponding section of the seal section for the needle to a penetrate and thereby extract a fluid sample from a liquid stream against which a portion of the seal section is exposed. An angled interface (288) between each channel and its corresponding penetration zone provides a liquid stream pressure concentration zone which applies pressure to close a core (C) in the seal section formed by removal of the needle.
