Container lid and damming insert constructions
09840364 · 2017-12-12 ·

Hot consumable container lid constructions and damming insert constructions enable a user/drinker to selectively transfer heat from a relatively hot assembly-contained beverage so as to cool the beverage before it enters the user's/drinker's mouth, and/or prevent inadvertent spillage of the hot consumable so as to avoid scalding of the user. A consumable damming formation is formed in adjacency to the primary outlet for redirecting liquid movement(s) and/or preventing spillage of the liquid before it exits the primary outlet. Certain lid assembly methodologies are also described, which methodologies provide the reader with a more thorough understanding of how the invention functions to achieve the objectives here briefly described.

Two-part dispensing closure system with internal seal and methods of using the same

A dispensing closure system includes an upper closure portion and a lower closure portion including an axial flow conduit and a vent conduit. The upper closure portion is axially movable relative to lower closure portion between shipping and dispensing positions. A seal is disposed on the lower closure portion over the flow and vent conduits. A peripheral spacing strip is removably secured to the upper closure portion and engages with either the lower closure or the outside of the container to prevent movement. A piercing probe includes piercing elements in alignment with the flow and vent conduits for piercing the seal. In the shipping position, the piercing elements are spaced from the seal. However, when the spacing strip is removed and the upper closure portion is axially moved to the dispensing position, the piercing elements pierce the seal to open the flow conduit and the vent conduit.

Scent permeation container seal, container including said seal and methods of making said seal and said container

A seal for containers is provided that allows the scent or aroma from the substance within the container to come through, while preventing leakage of the substance from within the container and/or physical contact of the substance by the consumer. More particularly, a seal is provided having at least one slit scoring fewer than all of the layers of the seal. The slit(s) will allow a consumer to sniff the scent or aroma released through the slit, while the seal remains secured to the container, extending shelf life of the substance, and preventing leakage, as well as, contamination, damage and/or reduced volume caused by consumers sampling the products.

A multi-lid heat-insulating cup is provided, including a heat-insulating cup body with an accommodating cavity and a cup lid detachably connected to the heat-insulating cup body, the cup lid being provided with a drinking mouthpiece and a drinking mouthpiece lid being disposed at the drinking mouthpiece, where an inner top surface of the cup lid is provided with a ring-shaped sealing gasket; and with the cup lid covering an opening end of the heat-insulating cup body, the sealing gasket is capable of sealing both the opening end of the heat-insulating cup body and a top periphery of a pop can placed in the accommodating cavity, and a beverage outlet of the pop can is in communication with the drinking mouthpiece. The cup lid which can cover an opening of the heat-insulating cup body is disposed to increase a heat insulation effect.

Closure for a bottle
09834345 · 2017-12-05 ·

A closure for a drinking bottle includes a closure cap for fixing the closure to a drinking bottle. The closure cap has a through hole and at least one ventilation opening, and a seal arranged in the closure cap. Either the seal or the closure cap has a web, by which the seal and the closure cap are at least in contact section-wise. The seal is of such a configuration that, upon the occurrence of an increased or reduced pressure in the bottle and/or by axial displacement of the seal in the closure cap, at least a section of the seal that is between the web and an inside wall of the closure cap lifts off the inside wall of the closure cap and thus opens a gap for ventilation of the drinking bottle by the at least one ventilation opening.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION OF AN EMPTY CASE OF A FIREARM BULLET CARTRIDGE FOR FORENSIC INVESTIGATION

A device for storage and transportation of an empty case of a firearm bullet cartridge for forensic investigation, wherein said case comprises a cylindrical shell which is substantially closed at one end, said device comprising a container having a bottom wall, a side wall and an opening, and comprising a cap for sealing the opening of said container, wherein said cap is provided with holding means arranged to be inserted in the empty case for restricting lateral movement of the empty case in said container.

PICKLING DEVICE WITH PRESSURED CAVITY AND RELATED METHODS
20230174279 · 2023-06-08 ·

A method is for using a pickling device. The method includes positioning food to be pickled in a pickling cavity of a housing. The housing has a first open end and a second closed end opposite the first open end, and the pickling cavity extends between the first open end and the second closed end. The method also includes positioning a disc-shaped insert in the pickling cavity and over the food to be pickled, coupling a lid to the first open end of the housing, and coupling a positive pressure source, external to the housing, to the lid. The method further includes operating the positive pressure source to pressurize the pickling cavity to exceed a threshold pressure level during a pickling process without application of heat.

Pressure relieving panel for a caning jar
20170327284 · 2017-11-16 ·

The Pressure Relieving Panel for a Caning Jar is a device that allows for the convenient use of a standard sized caning jar to be used for anaerobic, lactic acid fermentation, i.e. making homemade sauerkraut, pickles, or other ferments. The device is configured as a replacement, sealing panel or lid for a standard sized caning jar that allows the CO2 gas from the fermentation process to escape from the jar. This device makes use of a one-way, pressure-relieving check valve incorporated into the sealing panel that prevents outside air (oxygen) from getting back into the jar where the anaerobic fermentation process is taking place. The pressure relieving, sealing panel(s) of the instant invention do not require regular monitoring or refilling as required for water type, air lock devices.

FLEXIBLE VACUUM SEALING ADAPTER FOR USE WITH FOOD STORAGE SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
