A flavor infused beverage system and method. The system is a cup having a container configured to hold a flavor component. A first filter layer has a plurality of holes extending therethrough and is configured to cover an end of the container. A removable seal layer is configured to cover the first filter layer such that the interior portion of the container is sealed by the removable seal layer covering the first filter layer. A liquid can be inserted into the cup such that the liquid passes through the filter layer and contacts the flavor component.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes a first multilayer film and a second multilayer film. Each multilayer film comprises an inner seal layer. The multilayer films are arranged such that the seal layers oppose each other and the second multilayer film is superimposed on the first multilayer film. The multilayer films are sealed along a common peripheral edge. The flexible container includes an orifice in one of the multilayer films, and a pop-up spout extends through the orifice. The pop-up spout has a flange sealed to the multilayer film around the orifice. The pop-up spout comprises an ethylene/-olefin multi-block copolymer.

A reclosable flexible package is described that includes an inner film layer, an outer film layer laminated to the inner film layer, and reclose region defined in a portion of package film layers. The reclose region includes pressure sensitive adhesive disposed between the inner and outer film layers. A number of cut lines are provided in the outer film layer in the reclose region, such that the user, by manipulating the package film layers at the reclose region, can reveal the underlying layer of pressure sensitive adhesive. Once the pressure sensitive adhesive of the reclose region is exposed, the action of the user can serve to adhere the pressure sensitive adhesive to itself and/or other portions of the film, such that the package is cinched in the area of the reclose region and maintains the remnants of the package contents within the reclosed package for later use.

A reclosable flexible package is described that includes an inner film layer, an outer film layer laminated to the inner film layer, and reclose region defined in a portion of package film layers. The reclose region includes pressure sensitive adhesive disposed between the inner and outer film layers. The present invention relates to a flexible membrane lid for a container comprising a top paper layer which is perforated to form a perimeter of at least one peelable portion and a bottom film layer. In some embodiments, the bottom film layer is partially adhered to the top paper layer, wherein the layers are not adhered within the perimeter of the peelable portion. In other embodiments, the layers are adhered with a pressure sensitive adhesive within the perimeter of the peelable portion and with a permanent adhesive in the remainder of the area between the top paper layer and bottom film layer. In other embodiments, the invention relates to a flexible membrane lid for a container comprising a top paper layer comprising a pull tab and a bottom film layer which is removably adhered to the top paper layer, wherein bottom film layer comprises a separate pull tab.

The present subject matter provides a layered article for sealing an opening in a package for a high alcohol content product. The layered article has a facestock, a reclosure adhesive, a machine direction oriented film, and a sealing adhesive. The sealing adhesive provides a good long-term seal for the package that is resistant to degradation from alcohol. The machine direction oriented film provides an alcohol barrier between the product and the reclosure adhesive. Upon opening, the film tears clean and straight in the machine direction to allow a portion of the film to stay in contact with the package and another portion of the film to be pulled from the package to expose the opening. The reclosure adhesive provides resealing capabilities for the layered article after the initial opening of the package. The clean straight tear also provides a tamper evident feature for the package.
