This document describes a saddle that adjusts to a bundle diameter. In some aspects, the saddle is a component of a cable-tie mounting assembly and forms a curved or planar mounting surface, which is flexible to support a bundle. The saddle includes an aperture for receiving a cable tie. The saddle also includes two laterally-extending distal flexible tabs that are flexible to conform to a bundle diameter based on a force applied by the cable tie disposed within the aperture and tensioned around the bundle to secure the bundle to the mounting surface of the saddle. The flexibility of the saddle surface to adjust into mating contact with the bundle (i) significantly reduces gaps created between the bundle, the cable tie, and the distal flexible tabs and (ii) provides side support, preventing rotation and lateral movement of the secured bundle and reducing the likelihood of damage to the bundle.

Through this coupling, the first intermediate region is movable relative to the second intermediate region. To minimize damage to the substrate during removal, the first and second flexible members are configured so that application of a normal force, when coupled with the substrate, causes at least the first upper region to form a critical angle sufficient to peel the connector from the substrate. The normal force is generally normal to and in a direction away from the substrate.

A variable food packaging container according to the present invention includes: a tray including a main body portion with an open side surface, an auxiliary expandable portion that is combined with the open side surface of the main body portion to form an accommodation space therewith, and a connector that allows the main body portion and the auxiliary expandable portion to be connected to each other so as to be able to be spaced apart from each other; and a cover film attached to the tray to cover the accommodation space. The main body portion and the auxiliary expandable portion are combined in a form of partially overlapping each other, in a state in which the main body portion and the auxiliary expandable portion partially overlap each other, the overlapping state is maintained by the cover film, and the auxiliary expandable portion is able to be spaced apart from the main body portion only when the cover film is removed. The connector is formed as a connecting film that is attached in a form of continuing along both side surfaces and a bottom surface of the main body portion and both side surfaces and a bottom surface of the auxiliary expandable portion. According to the present invention, since the accommodation space of the tray is expandable, contents may be taken out without damage thereto, and the level of brine that the accommodation space is filled with is lowered such that the contents may be taken out without causing overflow of the brine.

The main body portion and the auxiliary expandable portion are combined in a form of partially overlapping each other, in a state in which the main body portion and the auxiliary expandable portion partially overlap each other, the overlapping state is maintained by the cover film, and the auxiliary expandable portion is able to be spaced apart from the main body portion only when the cover film is removed. According to the present invention, since the accommodation space of the tray is expandable, contents may be taken out without damage thereto, and the level of brine that the accommodation space is filled with is lowered such that the contents may be taken out without causing overflow of the brine.

Flexible connector

A flexible strap connector is disclosed. The connector comprises a strap having a buckle head at one end and a tongue at the opposite end. Ratchet teeth extend on one side of the strap and the ratchet teeth cooperate with the buckle head to permit movement of the strap in a first direction and to prevent movement of the strap in a second direction. A second slot is formed in the strap itself and it is a non-locking slot. When the strap is in the second slot, the strap is free to move further into the slot and free to be withdrawn from the slot. Embodiments where the buckle head and ratchet teeth are replaced with hook and loop fasteners are also disclosed.

Bungee device and method of use

A bungee device includes an elongated shape portion and a cord loop having a pair of cord segments. The elongated shape portion has a flat part on it where the cord loop segments extend therefrom. The cord segment has at least one flat surface that engages the flat part of the elongated shape portion when the bungee device is in use. The cord can include a tab extending from a portion thereof. The tab makes it easier to grasp the cord and stretch it to allow the elongated shape portion to be removed from the space created by the cord segments and release the bungee device from its secured position. The elongated shape portion and cord loop have a one-piece molded construction. The flat part on the elongated shape portion and flat surface on the cord segment can be optional.
