The handle (5) is formed by a plastic film (4) wrapped around the products (1) over at least one turn, the plastic film (4) covering at least most of the bottom side (2) and being gathered to a reduced width over the top side (3) to form the handle (5). A handle (5) formed by a plastic film wrapped around the pack is reliable and easy to manufacture at a limited cost.

A compressed hollow coreless roll of absorbent paper sheet produced by way of providing a roll of absorbent paper sheet by winding the sheet about a forming core member having a diameter in the range of 30 mm to 50 mm; removing the forming core member such that there is provided a hollow coreless roll of absorbent paper sheet with an axial cavity having a diameter in the range of 30 mm to 50 mm and compressing the hollow coreless roll such that the axial cavity is substantially collapsed. The compressed hollow coreless rolls are readily re-formed into cylindrical shape. Space-saving packages of the rolls are overwrapped with tubular polymer film to provide a flexible reconfigurable package of a series of individually encased rolls. Volume reductions of about 10 to about 20%, about 14% to about 20%, 30%, 40% and more as compared with conventional products are realized.

Advantageously, and in accordance with the exemplary embodiment, one or more gum packet portions 200 can be torn from the gum packaging 100 in order to reduce the size of the gum packaging 100. Here, each gum packet portion 200 contains a dosage of gum. Consequently, a retail outlet may sell gum packaging 100 having a user required number of gum dosages by tearing from a main gum packaging 100 a sub gum packaging 100 for purchase, wherein the sub gum packaging 100 has the required number of gum packet portions 200 according to the buyers wishes. Furthermore, a user may purchase a main gum packaging 100 and remove a sub gum packaging 100 having a required dosage for that day or activity, where the sub gum packaging 100 has the required number of gum packet portions 200 according to the selected dosage. This is advantageous because the user only has to carry around the gum required. Moreover, as the gum is consumed and the used gum packet portions 200 torn or otherwise separated from the gum packaging 100, the gum packaging becomes smaller, and therefore more comfortable to carry around.

A bottle is provided for storing an associated fluid product when filled. The bottle includes a first wall having an opening therein that is selectively opened and closed to allow the associated fluid product to be dispensed therethrough or stored in the bottle, respectively. A second wall is spaced from the first wall, and a third wall extending between the first and second walls. A compliant pleat extends along substantially an entirety of the first wall, second wall, and third wall and divides the bottle into first and second portions. The compliant pleat allows the first and second portions to move toward one another in response to a predetermined force and thereby increase pressure in the closed bottle.
