Filling system for electronic smoking devices

A filling system for an electronic cigarette (10) is disclosed in which a nozzle (38) of a liquid dispenser (80) contains a plunger (62) which is biased by a spring (60) into a closed position in which liquid is prevented from flowing through the nozzle (38). In use the nozzle (38) is inserted into an open end (42) of a liquid reservoir (34) for an electronic cigarette containing an air tube (32). The plunger (62) engages with the end of the air tube (32) blocking the air tube (32) and opening the liquid flow path through the nozzle (38). The arrangement of the plunger (62) and nozzle (38) is such that operation of the plunger (62) only occurs when the nozzle (38) engaged within a liquid reservoir (32). A membrane (96) can be provided to prevent leakage from the liquid reservoir (34) when the nozzle (38) is disengaged.

CONTAINER CONNECTORS

There is disclosed a connector system for connecting a plurality of containers together, for example drinks containers. The container system includes first and second-type connectors. Each of the connectors includes a ring defining an interior space, a platform extending from the ring into the interior space, an upstanding blade carried by the platform, and a membrane extending adjacent, over or across the interior space. Each connector may further includes one or more connection members to permit a positive mechanical connection of the first connector to the second connector such that the connection causes the blade of one connector to pierce the membrane of the other connector, and to permit subsequent relative rotation of the connectors.

PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR SMALL-VOLUME ASEPTIC FILLING

A packaging system for sealing a medicine container having a filling opening with a stopper includes a container tray having a container cell for receiving and stabilizing the medicine container. A shuttle has an exterior surface and an interior surface. The interior surface is configured for releasably securing the stopper. The shuttle is configured to release the stopper into the fill opening upon application of a releasing force to the exterior surface of the shuttle. A shuttle tray has a shuttle cell. The shuttle cell forms a body with a proximal opening, an interior space, a bottom inner surface opposite the proximal opening, and a side inner surface. The shuttle cell releasably secures the shuttle.

At least one locking groove in a first storage container for receiving a sliding mechanism combined to a second storage container. The sliding mechanism selectively engages the locking groove of the first storage container to connect and hold the first storage container to the second storage container such that a portion of the sliding mechanism extends laterally away from the side surface of the container when the sliding mechanism is disengaged from the locking groove and wherein the portion of the sliding mechanism is coplanar with the side surface of the container when the sliding mechanism is engaged with the locking groove.

PACKAGING FOR MULTIPLE CONTAINERS

A container unit may be used to facilitate administrations of multiple medicinal fluids to a patient. A container unit may include a first container, a second container, and a carrier which holds the first container and the second container stationary relative to each other. The carrier may include a lip configured to engage a pooling device to secure the container unit to the pooling device. The carrier may also include a slot configured to engage an insert on the pooling device to guide the container unit as the container unit is secured to the pooling device. The carrier may also include a first portion and second portion with different shapes that are complementary to a shape of a port on the pooling device. The carrier may also include an extension which extends in a direction away from one of the first container to a level at least even with a stopper disposed in the first container. The container unit may include a lid including at least one rotation inhibitor configured to inhibit rotation of the lid about at least one axis. A plurality of container units may include container units having different volume containers while maintaining a congruent interface portions.
