Plastic cup with a thin outer sleeve and food product pack comprising such cups
The FFS plastic container for a dairy product or similar food composition is provided with a body having a side wall extending along a longitudinal axis from a bottom to a top that defines a wide upper opening. The container, which is provided with a generally planar annular flange integral with the body and extending around the upper opening, has a decorative layer around the side wall. The upper portion of the side wall tapers toward the opening. Either a peripheral bulge is formed in the side wall at a junction between the upper portion and a lower portion, or the lower portion has a generally cylindrical shape. The decorative layer is defined by a plastic sleeve that includes a shrink film annularly secured to the upper portion, the sleeve extending adjacent or over the junction.
Heat-shrinkable polyester-based film and package
The invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film comprising ethylene terephthalate units, constituent units derived from at least one monomer which forms an amorphous component, and constituent units derived from butanediol. The amount of the constituent units derived from at least one monomer which forms an amorphous component is 18 mol % or more, and the amount of the constituent units derived from butanediol is 1 to 25 mol % based on 100 mol % of all polyester resin components. The heat-shrinkable polyester-based film is characterized by particular values for the secondary shrinkage ratio of the film, the hot-water heat shrinkage ratio of the film, and the reversing heat capacity difference before and after the glass transition temperature of the film.
MULTILAYER HEAT SHRINKABLE FILMS
The present invention relates to a polymer blend and to multilayer heat shrinkable films containing at least a layer made of said polymer blend, to flexible containers made of said film, such as bags, pouches and the like, useful for packaging articles, in particular food items. The invention also relates to a process for the manufacturing of such multilayer heat shrinkable films.
Cleanup kits including both wet wipes and dry wipes
Cleanup kits including both wet wipes and dry wipes. In accordance with a first example, a cleanup kit includes a first dispenser containing wet wipes and having a first accessible opening to allow the wet wipes to be dispensed therethrough. The cleanup kit also includes a second dispenser containing dry wipes and having a second accessible opening to allow the dry wipes to be dispensed therethrough. The cleanup kit also includes a carrying handle projecting upwardly from the first and second dispensers and heat sealed to both the first dispenser and the second dispenser to couple the first and second dispensers together. The first and second dispensers are discrete dispensers having separate housings and separate lids.
PACKAGED FOOD PRODUCT FOR HEATING IN OVEN
The present invention relates to a packaged food product for being heated in an oven or heater, the packaged food product comprising a container with a food and a lid, wherein the container comprises an inwards raised bead at the inner wall of the container near the opening end of the container; the lid comprises a recess designed to engage with the raised bead at the inner wall of the container in such a way as to snap-close the container; and the food is located in the container.
Contact lens packaging and methods of manufacturing packaged contact lenses
A contact lens package includes a sealed contact lens package and a wrap coupled to the sealed contact lens package. The wrap has one or more panels. One of more of the panels includes a printed surface that includes a unique device identifier, which is provided in both human readable form that includes numbers or letters, or both, and machine readable form, such as a bar code. A method of manufacturing a contact lens package includes providing the sealed contact lens package and coupling the wrap to the sealed contact lens package.
Safeguard or safety feature to secure a pivot handled tool
An apparatus and method to secure a bolt cutter, wire cutter, cable cutter or other type of pivot handled tool with two protruding tabs whose apertures align with each other as the handles of the pivot handled tool enter a closed position. A shackle of a padlock may be inserted through the aligned apertures to lock the handles in the closed position.
PACKAGING METHOD BASED ON A SEMI-CRYSTALLINE THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER
Packaging method comprising the following steps: (a) providing a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester having at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit (A), at least one alicyclic diol unit (B) other than the 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol units (A), and at least one terephthalic acid unit (C), wherein the molar ratio (A)/[(A)+(B)] is at least 0.05 and at most 0.30, said polyester being free of non-cyclic aliphatic diol units or comprising a molar amount of non-cyclic aliphatic diol units, relative to the totality of monomeric units in the polyester, of less than 5%, and with a reduced viscosity in solution (25 C.; phenol (50 wt. %): ortho-dichlorobenzene (50 wt. %); 5 g/L of polyester) greater than 50 mL/g; (b) preparing a heat-shrinkable film from the semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester obtained in step (a); (c) covering a product with the heat-shrinkable film obtained in step (b); (d) applying a heat treatment to the packaged product.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT
This invention relates the use of cortisol blockers (glucocorticoid receptor [GR] antagonists) for the treating or preventing treatment resistant prostate cancer, treating or preventing neoplasia, and treating or preventing infection related to acute or chronic injury or disease.
Film and method for packaging a compressible product in a compressed state and packaged compressible product
The present invention relates to a method for packaging a compressible product in a compressed state, comprising the step of sealing at least two parts of a polymeric machine direction oriented (MDO) film which encloses at least part of the compressible product in the compressed state, characterized in that the seal has a seal elongation at failure of about 20% to about 100%, as measured in accordance with ASTM F88/F88M-09. The present invention also relates to a compressible product in a compressed state packaged in a polymeric MDO film which encloses at least part of the compressible product, wherein at least two parts of the MDO film are sealed and characterized in that the seal has a seal elongation at failure of about 20% to about 100%, as measured in accordance with ASTM F88/F88M-09.
