Moisture Prevention Packaging System and Method
A packaged article is composed of a bulk bag having a top end and a bottom end. Further included is a pallet having a first side and a second side. Also included are an outer bag having a first closed end and a first open end and a heatshrink bag having a second closed end and a second open end. The first closed end of the outer bag is between the bottom end of the bulk bag and the first side of the pallet. The first open end of the outer bag is gathered over the top end of the bulk bag to enclose the bulk bag within the outer bag. The second closed end of the heatshrink bag is proximate to the top end of the bulk bag and the second open end contacts the second side of the pallet.
COATED HEAT-SHRINKABLE FILMS
A heat-shrinkable film which includes a monolayer film or a multilayer film having a first layer, a second layer, and at least one inner layer between the first and second layers, and a coating on an outer surface of the monolayer film or the first layer or the second layer of the multilayer film. The coating is formed from an aqueous acrylic-based composition.
AMORPHOUS COPOLYMERIZED POLYESTER RAW MATERIAL FOR A FILM, HEAT-SHRINKABLE POLYESTER-BASED FILM, HEAT-SHRINKABLE LABEL, AND PACKAGING BAG
The invention provides an amorphous copolymerized polyester raw material for a film, wherein the copolymerized polyester raw material (1) contains ethylene terephthalate as a main constituent component, and neopentyl glycol by 15-30 mol % when a total amount of glycol component in a total polyester resin component is taken as 100 mol %, (2) contains a constituent unit derived from diethylene glycol by 7-15 mol % in the total amount of glycol component 100 mol % in the total polyester resin component, (3) has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.60 dl/g or more and less than 0.70 dl/g, and (4) has a glass transition temperature of 60-70° C. The invention also provides a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film containing the amorphous copolymerized polyester raw material, as well as a heat-shrinkable label and a packaging bag.
System and method for diagnosis and treatment
This invention relates the use of cortisol blockers (glucocorticoid receptor [GR] antagonists) for the treating or preventing treatment resistant prostate cancer, treating or preventing neoplasia, and treating or preventing infection related to acute or chronic injury or disease.
Paper roll spindle assemblies, support assemblies and packaging
A paper roll support assembly is provided with a collapsible spindle with distal ends to be received in a pair of bracket receptacles. Product packaging is sized to receive the collapsible spindle only in a collapsed state of the spindle to minimize an overall size. The collapsible spindle is provided with an outer spindle member, an open end spaced apart from the distal end, and a cavity formed therein with a first diameter. An inner spindle member is provided with a proximal end spaced apart from the distal end with an outer diameter sized to be received within the cavity for translation and rotation relative to the outer spindle. A first retainer is oriented in the cavity in cooperation with a second retainer oriented on the inner spindle member such that extension is prevented in a first rotational orientation and extension is permitted in a second rotational orientation.
SUPER-HYDROPHOBIC THERMOPLASTIC FILMS FOR PACKAGING
Thermoplastic films for packaging having a super-hydrophobic sealant surface (0), flexible packages made therefrom and their use in packaging products, especially food products are described. These packages are characterized by optimal performances, especially in terms of seal strength, recovery of the packaged product and prevention of drip formation.
PIECE GOOD COMBINATION WITH SPIRALLY MOUNTED CARRIER ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
A method for packaging piece good batches is provided. A transport device transports a plurality of piece goods in particular in the form of a piece good flow in a specified transport direction, and a first wrapping device wraps a film element around the piece goods, the film element having a specified first width. The first wrapping device has a dispensing assembly which circulates around the piece goods, and the piece goods are supplied to the first wrapping device in order to be wrapped with the film element. The piece goods are wrapped with a strip-like element by means of a strip application device, the strip-like element having a smaller width than the film element.
MATTRESSES, METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND COMPONENTS
Mattress coverings are manufactured utilizing conventional equipment and using a dummy mattress core. The mattress coverings include a zippered access on the bottom panel, for example, where the dummy core can be removed after the mattress covering is completed. When shipped to a regional assembly facility the zippered access is utilized for insertion of a select mattress core that corresponds to the size of the dummy mattress core about which the mattress covering was assembled. The zippered access is zipped shut and the mattress is ready for sale, transport, and use. Great efficiencies are available where the mattress cover is assembled in a first location, shipped to a sale and use location and also regionally close to where mattress cores are manufactured, and the mattress covers are assembled with cores into mattresses.
SUPER-HYDROPHOBIC THERMOPLASTIC FILMS FOR PACKAGING AND PACKAGES MADE THEREFROM
The present invention relates to multilayer packaging films having an outer super-hydrophobic anti-abuse surface and to bags made therefrom, with the super-hydrophobic surface as the outermost surface. The packages made from the films of the invention do not get wet during post-packaging treatments requiring hot-water or steam such as shrinking, sterilization or pasteurization (FIG. 7A). At the exit of the shrinking apparatus, or of the sterilization or pasteurization apparatus, the packages do not need any final drying and can be directly placed into the cardboard boxes for shipment, with evident advantages of time and energy savings.
Polymer compositions for shrink-wrap films
Polymer compositions comprising styrene butadiene block-copolymers (SBC) can be used for shrink-wrap films, a stiff star-shaped SBC block copolymer A having two short branches of a single copolymer block (B/S).sub.Ai and two long branches of the structure S.sub.t-[(B/S).sub.A].sub.n-(B/S).sub.Ai or [(B/S).sub.A].sub.n-(B/S).sub.Ai are used in said polymer composition, and the production of shrink-wrap films and of multilayer films is described.
