Dental stent
A dental stent for tooth restoration, includes an acrylic outer shell and a set of metal matrix separator strips partially embedded into an inner silicon bed. A method of manufacturing a dental stent includes 3D printing of a model wherein tooth forms of teeth to be restored are individually removable from a remainder of the model. A method of tooth restoration uses a dental stent, and a kit of parts including a dental stent and a composite resin, and optionally a heater, a light cure unit, and a finishing tool kit.
Fastening System For A Dental Object
The present invention relates to an fastening system (100) for a dental object, comprising a transverse connector (101) for passing through an interdental space (103); and a support member (105) for supporting the transverse connector (101) against the teeth (107-1, 107-2) laterally of the interdental space (103).
Bone positioning device for dysgnathia having a cutting-tool guide
The invention relates to a bone positioning device (1) for use in the repositioning of bone sections relative to each other in case of dysgnathia, comprising a main body (2), which has a bottom side (3), which faces the lower jaw (7) and in which there are recesses (5) for receiving navigating aids (6) fixed to the lower jaw, and an opposite top side (4), which faces the upper jaw and in which there are likewise recesses (5) for receiving navigating aids (6) fixed to the upper jaw, wherein at least one cutting-tool guide device (8) is attached to the main body (2).
FUNCTIONALIZED PROSTHETIC INTERFACES FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF DENTAL CONDITIONS
Provided are compositions and devices containing microspheres encapsulating one or more drug(s). The compositions and devices may be used to treat or prevent infection associated or caused by oral mucosal diseases, oral infections, oral conditions, dental conditions, or surgical recovery. The devices include, but are not limited to, splints, mouth guards, full dentures, partial dentures, or fillings. The devices may be manufactured from filaments that have a composition of the present disclosure. Also provided are methods of making and using the devices and compositions.
Intermaxillary Fixation Device And Method Of Using Same
A medical apparatus including a bar with a first attachment loop, a second attachment and a plurality of hooks, wherein the medical apparatus is an arch bar.
DEVICES FOR TREATING TRISMUS AND METHODS OF USE
A device and method treating Trismus in a patient. The device is configured to be located completely within the mouth of the patient and includes a pair of teeth-receiving plates and at least one adjustable biasing assembly. The adjustable biasing assembly pivotably interconnects the teeth-receiving plates and is adjustable to establish a desired spacing between anterior portions of the teeth-receiving plates, and also provides a force to the teeth-receiving plates tending to bias the anterior portions of those plates to the desired spacing.
Orthodontic wire alignment system and method
Disclosed is a system and method for treating mal-alignment of teeth using super-elastic nickel titanium, heat activated nickel titanium coated or uncoated orthodontic wires with composite resins in order to effectuate desired tooth alignment. The composite resin is formed into beads that hold the wire in place preferably on the lingual surface of the teeth. Alternate embodiments using composite brackets are disclosed. The overall purpose of this invention is to provide a close contact, low profile orthodontic system, in particular, a lingual orthodontic system that is significantly more comfortable than existing orthodontic systems, completely concealed and effective.
DENTAL APPLIANCES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present technology comprises methods of manufacturing an orthodontic appliance. For example, a method can include forming an orthodontic appliance in an intermediate configuration by a casting process. The method can further include securing the appliance to a shape forming fixture such that the appliance assumes a desired configuration. The shape forming fixture can comprise a gingiva portion including a surface having a shape corresponding at least in part to a gingiva of a patient and a securing portion carried by the gingiva portion and configured to releasably secure to a portion of the appliance. The method can further include setting a shape of the appliance while the appliance is secured to the shape forming fixture.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF TOOTH DECAY, INFECTION OR ABSCESS AND APPARATUS RELATED THERETO
