Shape-formable apparatus comprising locking sheets
A shape-formable apparatus comprising locking sheets. The apparatus can have a first state in which the apparatus is formable, and a second state in which the apparatus has the desired shape and is substantially less formable than in the first state. The apparatus can further include an envelope defining a chamber, a port positioned to fluidly couple the chamber with ambience, and at least two locking sheets positioned in the chamber in an at least partially overlapping configuration. Each locking sheet comprises a major surface, and at least a portion of each locking sheet can be patterned to include solid regions and open regions, the solid regions being movable with respect to one another within the major surface.
Improvements to Trays
An improved open mouthed container having a profiled upper periphery about the mouth, and comprising a base, and a peripheral sidewall extending generally upwards from the base, wherein the profiled upper periphery comprises a rim region, and the rim region extending outwardly and downwardly from the peripheral sidewall of the improved open mouthed container.
BIODEGRADABLE STRETCH FILM
A stretch film for use in the cosmetic or agri-food packaging sectors comprises konjac and carrageenan in a mass ratio of between 20/80 and 60/40. A stretch film according to the present disclosure has advantageous properties for use as a biodegradable stretch cling film and cosmetic mask.
Item storage unit for storing one or more items
In some aspects, an item storage unit for storing one or more items includes the following components. A first frame component and a first stretch member coupled to at least a first surface of the first frame component. The first stretch member being more flexible relative to the first frame component. The one or more items are configured to be supported by at least the first stretch member and the first frame component.
Flip wrap
We disclose a sheet of twist-free cling wrap, comprising opposing multi-ply flaps and opposing thumb tabs. The flaps have concealed integral hooks which connect sheets to one another in a series. Rigid extensions to the sheet lodge beneath a dispensing slit to dispense one sheet at a time.
Enhanced Flexible Material And Articles Formed Therefrom
A flexible film, and articles comprising the film, comprises interleaved pluralities of each of first bands and second bands disposed adjacent to the first bands. Both the first and second bands have a length and a width; the first bands comprise a first film basis weight and first and second regions. The first regions and second regions being comprised of the same material composition. The first regions undergo a substantially molecular-level deformation and the second regions initially undergo a substantially geometric deformation when the sheet material is subjected to an applied elongation along at least one axis. The second bands comprise a second film basis weight and a plurality of corrugations disposed along the length of the band. In this aspect the material may be described as having alternating bands of structural-elastic-like film and ring-rolled film.
BARREL AND COVER ASSEMBLY WITH LIMITED CONTACT
Barrel-with-cover assembly has a barrel and a cover covering at least a portion of the barrel outside surface. Cover has at least one open end. A means for gathering the cover maintains the open end of the cover in limited contact against the outer surface of the barrel. This limited contact, alone or in combination with a liquid exit port, allows liquid that collects between the cover and the barrel to escape, reducing hoop rusting. The assembly is used in a process for aging an alcoholic beverage in the barrel. The film from which the cover is made can have a low ethanol transmission rate and a high oxygen transmission rate, producing organoleptic results similar to uncovered control barrel.
Wrapping materials for solid objects
Improved object wrapping materials exhibiting a number of beneficial properties to overcome prior deficiencies are provided. Such properties include the inclusion of a separation interface overlay that allows for greater rigidity at the leading and trailing edges of such wraps. Also, the inclusion of shear-reducing wrap material portions is described, as well as recoil reduction structures within the leading edge regions. Furthermore, core adhesive additions allow for greater resiliency to the base wrap material as it unwinds therefrom, reducing potential waste wrap products by permitting greater amounts of wrap materials in use. Other considerations include the ability, through proper configuration designs, to position a wrap separation indicator within a certain range of distances from the trailing edge, thereby providing greater reliability of wrap application device disengagement during wrap application. Such benefits are thus supplied individually and in tandem for improved versatility and utility of such wrap materials.
Protective wrapping for a cylindrical object
The present disclosure relates to a protective wrapping for a cylindrical object, comprising: an essentially square plastic film sheet, having a length exceeding the length of the circumference of the cylindrical object to be wrapped and a width exceeding the width of the cylindrical object to be wrapped, and having an inner face and an outer face referring to the orientation of the film when wrapped; the plastic film sheet comprising two foamed plastic strips arranged on the inner or outer face thereof, the strips arranged essentially parallel in the length direction of the plastic film sheet, at a distance from each other such that the foamed plastic strips can cover and protect the edges of the cylindrical object when wrapped. The present disclosure further relates to the use of the protective wrapping for wrapping a cylindrical object, particularly a reel of plastic film for baling applications.
