POUCH
A pouch includes a packaging bag including a front surface sheet, a back surface sheet, a bottom surface sheet, and a top surface sheet and a spout. The packaging bag includes a pair of side seal portions, a front bottom seal portion, a back bottom seal portion, a front top seal portion, and a back top seal portion. At least one of the pair of side seal portions includes a side enclosing portion in which a gas is enclosed, the side enclosing portion having an elongated shape in a height direction. At least one of the front top seal portion or the back top seal portion includes a top enclosing portion in which a gas is enclosed, the top enclosing portion having an elongated shape in a width direction.
CONTAINER FOR FOODSTUFF STORAGE AND DISPENSING
A container and method of manufacture of a container made of a single material is provided. The container includes a base having a base perimeter with a surface, and a wall having an upper edge and a lower edge, the upper edge comprising two upper edge portions, wherein the lower edge is affixed about the entire perimeter surface, and the first upper edge portion is affixed to the second upper edge portion, thereby forming a space to hold foodstuffs. The base stock material is cut and formed into a base with the base perimeter. A seal is applied between the lower edge of the wall and the surface of the base perimeter. Another seal is applied to two vertical end portions of the wall, forming a cup-like container with an internal space. A final seal is applied between two portions of the upper edge of the wall completing the container.
CLOSURE SYSTEM WITH BARRIER LAYER
A closure system including a cap and a spout, where the cap and/or spout contain at least one discrete layer of barrier material. In one example, the spout includes a conduit and a seal member, the conduit being arranged about an imaginary axis and the seal member having one or more surfaces configured to be secured to a container. The cap includes an inner circumferential surface, the inner circumferential surface arranged to encompass the conduit. The cap also includes a first discrete layer of thermoplastic resin and a first discrete layer of barrier material and the seal member includes a second discrete layer of thermoplastic resin and a second discrete layer of barrier material.
DISPENSING SYSTEM FOR A FLEXIBLE BAG, FLEXIBLE BAG ASSEMBLY
A dispensing system for a flexible bag including a spout having a body, a plug and a first and second flexible coupling. The body includes a central bore extending therethrough, with a lower ring wall at a lower end. The plug has a cavity and plug ring wall attachable to the lower ring wall in sealed engagement. The first flexible coupling and the second flexible coupling each being formed from a base web and extending from the lower end of the body. A first arm is coupled to the base web at a first hinge. A second arm is coupled to the first arm opposite the base web at a central hinge. A third arm is coupled to the second arm opposite the first arm at a plug hinge. A probe is likewise disclosed that is insertable into a flexible bag, as is a flexible bag assembly and method.

SHEET MATERIAL CONTAINER
A sheet container has, formed in the bottom face of the container body, a non-attached part where the film layers are left partially unattached to each other. An filled part is formed by enclosing a filler between the film layers at the non-attached part. A side part of the filled part is a side bulging part bulging toward the skirt part. The side bulging part presses a pressed part above the lower edge of the skirt part from the inside toward the sideward. The lower edge of the skirt part is disposed inwardly from the pressed part.
PACKAGES CONFIGURED FOR IMPROVED SEALING
A package is provided that is formed from a packaging material, such as film, having increased adhesive in critical locations, such as adjacent folds in the end seal and other areas so that that the increased adhesive can at least partially fill voids adjacent such folds. The additional, localized sealant material is applied in a plurality of discrete locations in the end seal or other region adjacent where folds are formed and overlap with a sealant layer so as to provide additional sealant material for at least partially filling the voids without being present throughout the entirety, majority or large portions of the packaging material.
PACKAGED LAUNDRY PRODUCT
A packaged laundry product comprising a flexible package and a plurality of perfume-containing particles contained in the flexible package. Said packaged laundry product comprises perfume-containing particles which contains a carrier; and a perfume; and wherein each of said particles has a mass between 1 mg to 1 g, and has a maximum dimension of less than 10 mm. The flexible package is made of a layered film material and comprises a top end, an opposing bottom end, and two peripheral walls extending between the top end and the bottom end, wherein at least one or more parts of the flexible package is transparent or translucent. The flexible package is characterized that the bottom end of the flexible package comprises one or more holes.
FLAT-BOTTOM GUSSETED BAG MADE FROM MULTI-LAYER SHEET
A flat-bottomed bag is formed from a flexible sheet that initially is flat prior to being manipulated to form the bag. The sheet is a laminate of a first web and a second web laminated together by an adhesive layer disposed between the webs. The sheet defines a plurality of serially connected side wall panels collectively defining a vertically extending side wall of the bag, and a plurality of bottom panels respectively connected to the side wall panels at respective fold lines. The bottom panels are folded about the fold lines and are attached together to form a flat bottom wall configured to support the bag in an upright orientation. The adhesive layer is in a partial-coverage pattern that includes adhesive-free regions located along each fold line between each bottom panel and the respective side wall panel connected therewith.
MULTILAYER FILMS AND SEALED PACKAGES MADE FROM THESE FILMS
Multilayer Films have a first skin layer that is prepared from a high density polyethylene and a second skin layer (also referred to as the sealant layer) that is prepared from a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) having a density of from 0.90 to 0.92 g/cc and a Dilution Index, Yd, of greater than 0°. Seals can be prepared by placing two pieces of this film against each other such that the sealant layers are in contact with each other, then applying heat to at least one high density skin layer such that heat is transmitted/conducted through the multilayer film in a sufficient amount to melt the sealant layer and form a seal. The use of LLDPE having a Dilution Index of greater than 0° has been found to improve the sealing performance of multilayer films in comparison to multilayer films where the sealant layer is a conventional LLDPE having a Dilution Index of less than 0°.
