In order to improve the sealing properties and the sliding properties of a sealing film, it is provided that surface structures are provided on a first side of the sealing film, wherein the largest thickness of the sealing film is at least 10% greater than the smallest thickness of the sealing film, and the largest lateral extension of the surface structures is smaller than 500 m and a slip additive is added to the sealing film in an amount that yields an S-value of less than 10,000, and preferably less than 5,000.

There is provided a pack (10) for a product (12) which is sealingly retained in a volume defined by first and second films (13, 14) sealingly secured about a periphery. The pack has an openable portion through which a liquid contained in the product (12) can be dispensed. One of the films (14) has a pre-formed hinge (20) across at least part of the volume to assist folding of, and liquid extraction from, the product (12). The pre-formed hinge (20) may be in the form of a pre-formed fold line.

There is provided a pack (10) for a product (12) which is sealingly retained in a volume defined by first and second films (13, 14) sealingly secured about a periphery. The pack has an openable portion through which a liquid contained in the product (12) can be dispensed. One of the films (14) has a pre-formed hinge (20) across at least part of the volume to assist folding of, and liquid extraction from, the product (12). The pre-formed hinge (20) may be in the form of a pre-formed fold line.

Disclosed herein are water-soluble films including a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin blend and optionally one or more additional components such as plasticizers, fillers, surfactants, and other additives. Also disclosed herein are articles including the water-soluble film and containing a composition such as a household care composition. The PVOH resin blend includes a PVOH copolymer including one or more types of anionic monomer units such as a PVOH terpolymer and a PVOH polymer such as a partially or completely hydrolyzed PVOH homopolymer. When the PVOH copolymer and PVOH polymer are blended in particular proportions and/or selected with regard to various criteria related to the 4% solution viscosity of one or both of the PVOH polymer(s) and PVOH copolymer(s), the resulting water-soluble film formed from the PVOH resin blend exhibits substantially improved aqueous dissolution properties.

The product (12) is sealingly retained in a volume defined between two films (13, 14) which are sealingly connected around their periphery. The fruit product has one or more cuts (47) in its rind to facilitate the manipulation of the fruit to improve juice extraction.
