Multi-layer film and reclosable film package
A multi-layer film and a film package made from the film are described herein that provide resealing capabilities by utilizing a tacky layer within the multi-layer film. The multi-layer film can include an outer film portion including the embedded tacky layer and an inner film portion. An opening feature formed in the multi-layer film includes a flap configured to be manipulated by a user to create an opening through the multi-layer film. The inner film portion can include a release layer configured specifically to interact with the tacky layer to provide a desired separation peel force and resealing functionalities. The outer film portion can include an outer film layer disposed on an opposite side of the tacky layer from the release layer that is configured to permanently adhere to the tacky layer.
PACKAGING FILM FOR RETORT APPLICATIONS
A multilayer barrier film comprises an oriented outer film and a sealing layer attached to the oriented outer film, and the oriented outer film has 1) a first exterior layer containing a first polymeric material having a moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) of greater than or equal to 10 gram.Math.mil/100 in.sup.2/day, 2) a first EVOH layer adjacent to the first exterior layer, 3) an interior layer adjacent to the first EVOH layer, and 4) a second EVOH layer adjacent to the interior layer, the multibarrier film exhibiting rapid recovery of oxygen transmission barrier after exposure to a retort process.

ORIENTED FILM CONTAINING RECYCLED POLYAMIDE
A low odor packaging film is disclosed. The low odor packaging film comprises an oriented film. The oriented film includes a first odor barrier layer, a second barrier layer and an inner layer that comprises a multicomponent recyclate. The inner layer is present between the first odor barrier layer and the second odor barrier layer. The first and second odor barrier layers reduces the transmission of the odor or the odor causing components present in the multicomponent recyclate of the inner layer with a product or item packed with the low odor packaging film. The oriented film has a low haze value as compared to a non-oriented of the same composition and structure.

STAND UP POUCH WITH RECYCLED POLYETHYLENE
In some embodiments a Stand Up Pouch (SUP) is prepared using a polyethylene structure having a first web and a second web. The webs are laminated together to form the polyethylene structure that is used to prepare the SUP. One web contains a layer of recycled polyethylene (r.PE). In some instances, the use of r.PE has been observed to reduce the effectiveness of the sealant layer of the overall structure. In some embodiments, the SUP disclosed herein has a two layer sealant system to mitigate this problem.
