BAGS-IN-BAG PACKAGING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a bags-in-bag packaging system, wherein the inner bags (2) are made of biodegradable and/or compostable packaging material. Good storage stability and long shelf-life is achieved even if the inner bags (2) enclose an oxidable compound such as vitamin A. The inner bags (2) are preferably single-serve sachets comprising sufficient vitamins and minerals for effectively fight micronutrient deficiency.
Cushion Packages for Object Protection
A cushion package can be formed around an object. The object can be removed from and reinserted into the cushion package. The cushion package includes a cushion material (104) having a longitudinal length and two longitudinal edges (110). The two longitudinal edges (110) of the cushion material are folded into an overlapping position to form a tube of the cushion material. The cushion package includes first and second transverse seals (148,150) in the tube of the cushion material. The first and second transverse seals (148,150) respectively form first and second ends of the cushion package. Each of the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal (148,150) seals the cushion material with the two longitudinal edges (110) in the overlapping position. The two longitudinal edges (110) of the cushion material are uncoupled between the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal (148,150).
CUSTOM PACKAGING AND PROCESS FOR FORMING THE CUSTOM PACKAGING
A package and a method of forming the package, the package including a primary package; an inner package provided around the primary package; an outer package provided around the inner package and the primary package, such that an air gap is formed between the inner package and the outer package, the outer package including two bodies that are configured to surround opposite sides of the inner package, respectively; and a tape configured to seal the two bodies of the outer package together.

Methods for packaging items and preparing packaging materials
A method of preparing a packaging laminate includes conveying a mesh of paper material having perforations against a rigid edge causing, at substantially each perforation, a mesh portion at the leading side to have an average elevation lower than that of a mesh portion on the trailing side of the perforation. The method includes expanding the perforations into cells separated from one another by legs interconnected by nodes defined in the mesh Top and bottom surfaces of the legs and nodes are reoriented from an initial orientation substantially parallel with a direction of conveyance of the mesh to an expanded orientation oblique to the direction of conveyance, such that, in the expanded orientation, the top surfaces of the nodes are substantially parallel with each other. The method includes attaching an outer liner to at least some of the bottom surfaces so as to form the packaging laminate.

AUTOMATED SLICED FOOD VENDING KIOSK
An automated sliced food vending kiosk provides a sanitary, sealed environment for storing, slicing, packaging, and dispensing sliced food items, such as deli meats and cheeses. Orders may be customized through a user interface, and be scheduled for preparation to be completed coincidental with an expected approximate retrieval time. In some examples, wireless capability detects customer arrival, which is used as a trigger to begin preparing an earlier-submitted order. Food safety may be improved by correlating food item chubs with customer profiles, to provide alert recipient information, if needed. The kiosk may be tied in with retail inventory management for automated reordering of food items and reconciling slicing operations with sales and inventory levels.
VACUUM-PACKAGED PRODUCT OF HIGH-PURITY METAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING VACUUM-PACKAGED PRODUCT
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a high-purity tin product not containing undesirable carbon impurities by producing a high-purity metal vacuum-packaged product (high-purity tin vacuum-packaged product) by means of vacuum-packaging of a high-purity metal (high-purity tin), wherein at least a portion of the surface of the high-purity metal is covered with dust-free paper, and the high-purity metal, at least a portion of the surface thereof being covered with the dust-free paper, is vacuum-packaged using a vacuum-packaging film.
PACKAGE FOR CONSUMABLE PRODUCTS
In the present invention, a package for supporting at least one consumable product is provided. The package includes a support member for supporting the at least one consumable product, a flexible package for enclosing the support member and the at least one product, and a closure mechanism configured to transit the package between open and closed positions. The flexible package has a line of weakness and a flap defined and positioned near an area formed by the line of weakness. When the flap is pulled, it ruptures the line of weakness and creates an opening to allow access to the at least one consumable product.
Moisture Barrier Package
A packaged moisture sensitive product and a method for packaging a moisture sensitive product. The packaging comprises a primary package, and a secondary 5 package comprising a composite laminate comprising at least one thermoplastic layer and at least one metallic layer.
