RESEALABLE PACKAGE WITH IMPROVED CONTENTS ACCESSIBILITY
A film package with a resealable access opening providing improved access to the package contents is provided. The film package may include a tray, frame, or other reinforcing structure containing or holding discrete articles disposed in a row, column, or array, a flexible film forming at least a top of the film package, an access opening disposed at least in the top defined by a cut in the film, and a sealing layer adhesively sealed to the film or a remainder of the film around the access opening. In one embodiment, the access cut forming the access opening into the film has an expanded portion that extends outward from the remainder of the access cut to facilitate easier removal of the discrete articles within the package. To further improve access, the tray may have an opening or window therein to permit the discrete articles to move longitudinally and/or laterally therein.
BIODEGRADABLE REFRESHMENT CONDIMENT SYSTEM
This system is a biodegradable refreshment condiment system comprising: a container comprising filter material having a rear panel, first side panel and second side panel so that when the first side panel and the second side panel are joined at a seam, a container if defined; a set of packaging contents disposed on the container having one or more items taken from the group of consisting of a sugar packet, sweetener packer, stirring stick and napkin; and, wherein the filter material is biodegradable and comprises filaments having greater than 20 mm diameter. The system can include a stirring stick made from wood. The filter material and set of packaging contents can be configured for a one-time use. The panels can be affixed to each other using a biodegradable adhesive.
External packaging for safeguarding at least one package during transportation
A process for safeguarding a product during transportation includes forming a package by surrounding a product with packaging material and accommodating the package in an external packaging that includes a carrier element and a bag element. The carrier element includes an upper side including a border and a lower side opposite the upper side, wherein the lower side includes a base. Further, the bag element includes a base and a bag opening with a border opposite the base of the bag element. The package is accommodated in the external packaging by loading the package onto the carrier element such that the package is carried by the carrier element and loading the carrier element via the bag opening into the bag element such that the bag element surrounds the carrier element and the bag element extends on the upper side of the carrier element beyond the border of the carrier element.
PACKAGING SYSTEM WITH CONTROLLED RELEASE OF ACTIVE AGENT
Provided herein are packaging systems suitable for storing products, such as food products. The packaging systems are made up of multilayer film constructions that provide controlled release of an active agent at a point in time that is past the manufacturing of the packaging systems but coincides with their functional use (e.g., at the food packaging step). The multilayer film constructions have a composition that is sensitive to humidity, which converts the constructions from a barrier to a transmitter of the active agent loaded within multilayer film constructions.
Individual dose pack
Aspects of the present invention are directed to an individual dose pack. The individual dose pack may comprise a single serving pod and an overwrap surrounding the entirety of the single serving pod and sealing the single serving pod therein, wherein the overwrap is child-resistant and creates an impermeable barrier being resistant to the passage of liquids and gases. The single serving pod may include a cup, at least one pharmaceutical active ingredient provided in the cup, and a lid affixed to the cup. The overwrap is a multi-layer structure including a first layer being a biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate layer, a second layer being a polyethylene layer, a third layer being an aluminum foil layer, and fourth layer being an ionomer layer.
LABEL ARRANGEMENT FOR A FOOD PACKAGE
This invention relates to a label arrangement for consumer destined food packages. A food package (10, 50) comprises at least an undertray (20) and a lidstock (40) arranged together defining in between a cavity for a food product (30). The label arrangement according to the invention comprises a printable face material (110) and a pressure sensitive adhesive (120) for attachment of the label (100) onto the package (10, 50). The adhesive surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive (120) layer is arranged to have one or more adhesion free (550) and printed zones and the label (100) is further arranged with one or more weakenings (700) through the label face material (110) allowing to manually fold the part of the label with adhesion free (550) and printed zone for visual inspection of said printing while the label (100) otherwise remains attached to the package (10, 50). The label (100) is arranged onto the package (10, 50) so that said manual folding of the part of the label with the adhesion free (550) and printed zone increases visual access to food product (30) in the package (10, 50).
PACKAGING AND PROCESS FOR THE STERILE PACKAGING OF OBJECTS FOR MEDICAL, PHARMACEUTICAL OR COSMETIC APPLICATIONS
Packaging for the sterile storage and transport of objects for medical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications and a packaging process are provided. The packaging includes at least one bag made of a first and a second web, bonded to one another, a feature thereof being that the first web consists of a selectively permeable nonwoven fabric and that the second web consists of a laminated film with at least three layers, where the first layer is a polymer film arranged on the external side of the bag, the second layer is a lamination adhesive and the third layer is a polymer film arranged on the internal side of the bag. At least one of the layers of the second web includes one or more pigments. In an 8-bit greyscale image, the seal seam, imaged in transmitted light and contrast-standardized, is depicted within a greyscale value range of 50-200.
RESEAL LABEL FOR BOX IN A BOX RE-SEALABLE PACK
A container of consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box wherein a pull tab is configured to reseal a pre-cut opening in the inner box. The pull tab includes a cover layer larger than the pre-cut opening. The cover layer can be a piece of bundle wrap with a paper layer of the bundle wrap contacting the consumer goods inside the box. The outer box has a hinged lid permanently attached to a connecting tab of the pull tab whereby opening the hinged lid simultaneously opens the pre-cut opening in the inner box by lifting the pull tab. The connecting tab includes adhesive which is partially deadened to decrease adhesion of the connecting tab to the inner box. The pull tab can also include one or more machine readable markings to enhance automated application of the pull tab to an inner box blank during manufacturing of the container.
Cooking method and apparatus
An ovenable cooking apparatus for facilitating the cooking of food components while maintaining the separateness thereof may include a first container for holding a first food component, and a second container for holding a second food component. The separation of the first food component from the second food component maintains the surface area for the first and second food components to facilitate heating of the first and second food components. The first food component may have a liquid based content for producing steam when heated, and one or both of the first container and the second container may define a passage for providing airflow and steam flow for contacting the second container and/or the second foodstuff and heating or steaming the second food component. Additionally, the second container may be steam impermeable for cooking bread and the like.
