METHODS OF RECYCLING FLEXIBLE PACKAGES FORMED OF RECYCLABLE BARRIER LAMINATES
Disclosed are recyclable flexible package and a method of recycling such packages. The flexible package includes a hollow body defining an interior chamber for holding an oxygen sensitive product. The body is formed of a laminated film formed of two layers of a single polymer material, e.g., polyethylene, and at least one interposed barrier layer, e.g., polyvinyl alcohol, that is resistant to the passage of oxygen therethrough and which is water-soluble. The single polymer constitutes at least 95% by weight of the laminated film, whereupon the package is suitable for recycling without requiring separation of the materials thereof by shredding the laminated film and subjecting those pieces to an aqueous wash to dissolve the barrier layer.
PLASTIC CONTAINER FOR FOOD PRODUCT HAVING A PLURALITY OF FRANGIBLE VENT HOLES
The plastic container for a molded food product is provided with a hollow body, a bottom and a discharge opening. Frangible connections are distributed in the bottom and thus several distinct bottom regions each including at least one of the frangible connections are defined. A plastic actuating member that is movable relative to the bottom outer edge is configured to actuate simultaneous break of each of the frangible connections, so as to form at least three spaced vent holes in the bottom. The vent holes are arranged around the single actuation portion of the actuating member. Food product can be easily released as one block through the opening, after the container has been unsealed and turned upside down.

PRESSURE RELIEF BLOW-OUT PLUGS AND RELATED PACKAGES
Pressure relief blow out plugs for a container are disclosed as well as methods of using the same. One disclosed method involves providing a glass container that comprises a base and a body extending away from the base. The base includes a wall that defines a pressure relief passage. The method also involves inserting a pressure relief blow out into the pressure relief passage to seal the passage. The plug comprises a first inboard flange extending radially outwardly from the plug body, a stem, and a second inboard flange extending radially outwardly from the plug body and being spaced apart from the first inboard flange by a stem. The first inboard flange includes a first outboard sealing surface that provides an axial seal against the wall of the base of the glass container, and the second inboard flange including a circumferentially interrupted outboard facing retention portion the defines vent gaps.
Packaged Frozen Precooked Dough or Batter-Based Food Products and Methods
Disclosed are packaged frozen precooked dough or batter-based food products and methods of heating the food products. The packaged precooked frozen dough or batter-based food products comprises one or more frozen precooked dough or batter-based food products that are encased in a pouch for heating. The pouch is sealed with the exception of the presence of two or more vent holes that function to release air or steam that may otherwise cause the food product to become soggy when they are heated in an oven.
VALVE AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A method of making a one-way gas release valve for releasing gas pressure from within a coffee container comprises pre-oiling a relatively narrow dry strap of flexible material and laminating the pre-oiled dry strap between relatively wide ribbons of base and cover material with the dry strap overlying spaced vent patterns in the base material. Alternatively, the base material may be pre-oiled or both the base material and the dry strap may be pre-oiled. The dry strap and base may be made of PET and the cover may be made of mPET. Gas release valves are then die cut from the resulting web with each valve containing a vent pattern. Pre-oiling of the dry strap and/or the base can be accomplished through a roll metered process to insure that the oil is applied in precise amounts and with consistent thickness and coverage. Since the oil is applied during fabrication of the gas release valves, the vent patterns in the base can be configured to function also as a filter to prevent coffee grinds from migrating into the valve.
Pressure relief mechanism, case, and pressure relief valve
According to embodiments, a pressure relief mechanism comprises a case with an installation hole formed therein, and a pressure relief valve. The pressure relief valve comprises an insertion portion which comprising a vent path formed in an axial portion of the insertion portion and a slit formed in a peripheral wall portion of the insertion portion so as to communicate with the vent path, a pedestal portion provided at an outer end of the insertion portion, a locking portion provided at an inner end of the insertion portion and locked on an inner edge of the installation hole, and a ring-like seal member interposed between around the installation hole and the pedestal portion, the seal portion comprising an elastic member.
CONTAINER SYSTEMS WITH WATER-SOLUBLE POUCHES
A container system including a closeable container with at least one pouch in an interior space of the container, where the pouch includes a water-soluble film including a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin blend, and a perfume and organic solvent containing household care composition at least partially enclosed in a compartment by the water-soluble film.

LOCKING PACKAGING CONTAINER
The technology disclosed herein includes a packaging apparatus comprising an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, and at least one locking mechanism configured to lock the inner sleeve inside the outer sleeve. In some implementations, the locking mechanism is an interior sliding mechanism, which locks the inner sleeve in its entirety in the outer sleeve. In some implementations, the locking mechanism is an interior sliding mechanism, which permits the inner sleeve to move partially out of the outer sleeve. In some implementations, the locking mechanism includes a spring, a tab, a flap, a key, a magnet lock, or other locking component. In some implementations, the inner sleeve includes a pull tab for removal of the inner sleeve from inside the outer sleeve.
