Tube
20180086529 · 2018-03-29 · ·

A tube or other container for storing and dispensing a product such as toothpaste, a lotion, a cream, etc., includes one or more creases. Initially, each crease can be in a contracted position, where the tube has a first volume when the crease is in the contracted position. Due to outgassing of the product and/or other factors, pressure may increase within the sealed tube. In response to the pressure increase, the one or more creases can deflect from the contracted position to an expanded position, where the tube has a second, increased volume when the crease is in the expanded position. Deflection of the one or more creases effectively increases the volume of the interior of the tube, and maintains pressure within the tube at a desirable level.

CONTAINER CONSTRUCTION WITH FLEXIBLE LINER AND ONE-WAY VALVE

In an embodiment, the invention comprises a container comprising: a base; at least one sidewall extending upwardly from the base and terminating in a top edge, wherein the at least one sidewall is paper-based; a removable flexible membrane adhered to the top edge, wherein the membrane comprises a one-way valve; a liner ply at least partially adhered to an interior surface of the sidewall, wherein the liner ply is configured to at least partially release from the sidewall upon a pressure differential between the pressure within the container and the external pressure.

HOT-FILLABLE PLASTIC CONTAINER

Plastic container comprises a container body having a bottom portion, a sidewall portion and an upper portion, with a chamber defined therein. The bottom portion includes a support surface and a variable dynamic base portion extending inward from the support surface configured to deflect in response to a pressure differential between the chamber and an exterior of the container body. The sidewall portion includes a lower circumferential groove ring and an upper circumferential groove ring, wherein the lower circumferential groove ring has a width W1 and depth D1 in side view, and an outer radius R1 in plan view, the ratio of the width W1 to the outer radius R1 ranges between 0.07 to 0.22, and the ratio of the depth D1 to the outer radius R1 ranges between 0.04 to 0.18. The upper circumferential groove ring has a width W2 and depth D2 in side view, and an outer radius R2 in plan view, the ratio of the width W2 to the outer radius R2 ranges between 0.07 to 0.22, and the ratio of the depth D2 to the outer radius R2 ranges between 0.04 to 0.18. The base portion comprises an inner support wall extending upwardly from the support surface, wherein an upper section of the inner support wall extends inwardly at an angle of between about 15 degrees to about 85 degrees relative to the reference plane.

Container system and method of manufacture

A plastic, hot-fillable container is provided. The container comprises a blow molded body including a neck and a base having a center portion and a plurality of spaced apart radial segments. At least a portion of each segment is tapered from an outer side to an inner side thereof. Container systems and methods of manufacturing containers are presented.

Improved packaging system wherein a single absorber is sealed and attached to the product (e.g., food) container. The container may be a bag, trays, etc. The absorber would be attached by: a) placing an absorber on film while the film is being converted into a bag, or b) the bag customer could insert pod style absorber by sticking to an inner wall of bag. There could be two main styles of absorber pod: a) one that pod is premade and then either adhesive is used to attach to package or the pod is heat sealed to package, or b) individual pods are manufactured, and the user could install them inside the container in the same manners.
