A straw dispenser having a UV light source for sterilizing individual straws. The straws are metered through a passage. The UV light source is mounted over the passage to sterilize individual straws before delivery to the user. The dispenser may be equipped with an LCD display and communications module.

Sleeve

A sleeve (1) for holding a plurality of elongate elements (9) positioned in end-to-end relationship is disclosed. The sleeve has an elongate body (2) with opposite ends (10,11) and a space (3) defined therebetween to receive the elongate elements (9). The elongate body has an opening (4) between the ends (10,11) that is configured to enable a user to contact elongate elements (9) received in the sleeve (1) through the opening (4) and push them along, and out of one end of the sleeve (1).

The device may provide automated and/or simplified needle counting both during use and after removal from the surgical field. The device may be configured for ergonomic and efficient use so as to minimize the actions and motions of the surgeon to dispense and secure the needle.

A golf tee dispenser with a funnel shaped container, a first retaining cap, a second retaining cap, the funnel shaped container capable of holding a plurality of standard golf tees the funnel shaped container has a threaded cylindrical aperture. The first retaining cap is removably retained to the funnel shaped dispenser by mating threads. The first retaining cap is retained to the funnel shaped container by a tether. The first retaining cap includes a plurality of resilient fingers to facilitate the controlled release of one golf tee at a time from the funnel shaped container. The second retaining cap is frictionally retained to the outer surface of the first retaining cap. A preferred embodiment includes a U-shaped handle member fixedly attached to the top surface of the funnel shaped container.

An apparatus is disclosed for storing and dispensing a pen needle for an injection device, including a packaging assembly including a pliable outer cover, the outer cover having a hub portion, a needle portion disposed at a distal end of the hub portion, and a flange disposed at a proximal end of the hub portion, the hub portion having internally protruding splines or other structures for engaging a hub of a pen needle. The hub portion is sufficiently pliable for a user to press gripping portions of the hub portion so that corresponding internal portions of the hub portion between the splines contacts the pen needle hub to increase a surface area contact between the outer cover and a pen needle therein.
